May be old news, but ABC just had the mayor of NO on, via telephone, and the mayor is getting word that some of the Levees at Lake Pontchartrain have been breeched.
I think Shep realizes now that this storm is still packing a punch

Levees breached on the lake means the pumps can't drain the city, at least not the ones that pump into the lake.
There are some that pump into the Mississippi, they will have to do all the work.
There will be deep water in the lower neighborhoods, which is where the poorest people live, in the crummiest structures, the ones that have termite damage.
Bad news. Pray.
