Astonishing Exclusive From Mississippi [hundreds if not thousands dead]
Paramedic Rescue Operation | 8-31-05 | My Favorite Headache

Posted on 08/30/2005 10:10:45 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

It is with heavy heart I write this...

I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.

He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.

Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.

They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.

The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.

The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.

More to follow....

As callous as it may sound, the MSM will have a VERY hard time with a high death count because it would take attention away from the Iraq death count.

I pray this is not true, but this, unfortunately, would not surprise me. Despite the excellent forecasts of the hurricane's path and intensity, I fear that too many people simply did not heed the warnings. Hurricane warnings were posted at 10 PM CDT Saturday night, with forecasted storm surge of 15-20 feet, locally up to 25 feet, advertised at that time. No one should have been caught off guard with this one.

Yeah, I know. And it would also start making people ask why the state and local pols have been fiddling all these years while waiting for Rome to burn.

After NO gets its immediate needs taken care of, someone had better look at what happened with the levees and the pumps. And take steps to ensure that it's not allowed to happen again.

Look, I know the scriptures warn us all to live clean lives ir face consequences. However, at a time like this I KNOW our Lord would respond with compassion and mercy. Nice job of showing the heart of Christ (NOT!).

Matthew 9:36
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Matthew 14:14
When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

2 Corinthians 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,

Ephesians 4:32
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Colossians 3:12
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

I truly doubt that they will release the true death count. They'll do what they did down in Florida after Hurricane Charley hit. Initially, you heard eyewitnesses describe hundreds, even thousands of dead, and then the official count went down to 13 ending up around 25 people. I'm betting that the death count will be revised to a couple of hundred.

Who has the power to tell the government to lie about death figures? This is pure crap. They release the names of the dead. If my Aunt Sally is not on the list, don't you think I might notice. And what in the world would be the purpose? Where is the upside for the "government" officials who perpetrate the lie?

Another possibility is that this paramedic, assuming he exists, is just a fool with no sense of judgement. How should I know? But anyone who suggests the government covers up hurricane deaths because they were illegals and this would somehow drive the residents of Miami insane -- what does this say about the person's judgement? It makes no sense.

What's bothering me is the fact that every time we hear of high death counts in other natural disasters, many people have a tendency to write it off to the fact that it occurred in underdeveloped or third-world countries, where building standards are lax, communication is poor, dictators don't care about their people, and/or God is punishing them for their manifold sins.

It's here now, in the country with the highest standard of living on the planet, and many premises will have to be checked in order for us to cope with these numbers and make sense of them.

Someone mentioned that upthread, Pappy, and I remember thinking: "How callous! How distasteful! How ... entirely possible."

The word "thousands," and the 30-bodies-per-tree claim is pretty damn hysterical. When this thing is over, someone will have to offer appy polly loggies, and it will be the original poster on this thread.

I have yet to see a single first-hand report from coastal Mississippi. I can understand that they would be reluctant to report rumors like this, but without working phones or press access, rumors like this are all you would have if the story was true.

Obviously you weren't watching GMA about 30 minutes ago, Robin Williams was reporting live from this area. She grew up on the MS Gulf coast and gave no indication whatsoever that large numbers of bodies were being found. She interviewed people she knew and talked about the cooperation & help neighbors and friends were giving one another.

That's the problem. You're exactly right. People are so brainwashed by 24/7 news and reality TV cameras everywhere that they can't imagaine that we don't know everything immediately. We know nothing here from Miss. especially because it's been wiped out.

Read between the lines people. Everywhere you hear reports about bodies it's not people COUNTING them and bringing them in! It's about pushing them aside, seeing them littered, tossed, clumped, piled, crushed. We are still in crisis rescue mode. Hell i don't think I've seen a single dead body on the news. Nobody has even bothered unless they get put in a position where they have to bring a certain body or bodies in because it makes logistical sense. This is all still completely unorganized.

Then you have a sober governor dropping terms like tsunami, Hiroshima and such. The only numbers are some Apt building that had 30 people. I bet they don't even know how many are there. Could only be 20, but 30 stuck because someone heard something and tossed it out. But the media acts like it's like the only people who died in the entire city because nobody will count all those other bodies for them to report as some official body count. The death toll in huge disasters is always underestimated early and this is huge. If you believe they've even counted even 20% of the bodies to come, I have a bridge in beautiful downtown New Orleans I'd love to sell you.

Hugh Hewitt is just trying to play the level-headed smart guy who rises about the riff-raff. Same MSM BS in blog format. Citizen reporting from a trusted source is worthless fear-mongering? Whatever. So we have a big blogger now crying about how this thread wasn't censored. Why? Because it didn't comply with MSB standards. Which now means you can only get news for your blog from nearly blind MSM sources who say it's a vast unknown of death and destruction out there. Well gee, what might that tell you Hugh? And he wrote a book on blogs? Pathetic.

We didn't even need this thread to know that we barely know anything about the total deaths. Just use common sense from there after seeing the Mississippi wasteland coastline.

If the emergency people are just pushing bodies aside as reported earlier, I figure this is true.

"But NO was spared a direct hit, which would have cause much hugher casaulties."

One could easily argue just the opposite. People were coming back into the city when the levee broke during the night. More people were caught off guard as a result. In addition there was virtually no reporting of the on going flooding until the water was 6' plus deep. And even then it was limited.

Also, you can't say the hurricane wasn't "a direct hit" on New Orleans. The hurricane hit New Orleans. The eye past just to the east of the city. Nevertheless the hurricane totally engulfed the city. Hardly a miss.

Did you see the report upthread of perhaps "hundreds" dead in one Mississippi county alone? And that there are no death estimates yet because efforts now are concentrated on rescuing the living, not recovering the dead?

Did you hear the Fox report that Biloxi is "littered" with bodies?
