Astonishing Exclusive From Mississippi [hundreds if not thousands dead]
Paramedic Rescue Operation | 8-31-05 | My Favorite Headache

Posted on 08/30/2005 10:10:45 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

It is with heavy heart I write this...

I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.

He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.

Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.

They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.

The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.

The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.

More to follow....

I still don't see any of this confirming thusands of bodies in the trees being plucked 30 at a time.

You're repeating the news that's been reported all night.

I'm looking at video of Slidell right now...no great masses of bodies floating in the streets there.

"Oh please give it a rest."

"I'm not digging any hole."

And New Orleans dodged the bullet too...

Right now on FOX: "AP: 2 deaths in Alabama from Katrina". Two deaths. All the structures destroyed. OMG, they just don't want to tell us yet.

Ph really? Did a little bird tell you this?

They asked for 100,000 body bags before the start of OIF.

What's your point?

IIRC, there was a post by some guy whose team had set up three stormcameras to try to catch the surge in Gulfport. He figured the one nearest the beach was gone, but wanted local people to look at the two other locations to see if they could find camera cases amidst the rubble.

It could be that camera crews are indeed in negotiations with evening news shows, Sunday talk shows, etc.

I haven't read every post on this thread, but skipping around, I just cannot see how it deteriorates to the insulting and name-calling that it does at the end.

"Some of the predictions about a New Or hurricane a year or so ago mentioned God's displeasure with the voodoo in the area as well as a lot of other demonic forces facilitating routine goings on there."

Would this sort of action be the mark of a good deity?

I'm guessing you missed Post 782, so I'll repeat:

"Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.

They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time."

That paragraph continues: "Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore." The poster doesn't mean there are thousands of bodies in trees, he means thousands of bodies have been discovered "throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis."

Among them, some hanging in trees. Others found drowned in their homes, others washing up on the beach.

Does any of that seem far-fetched after one of the most massive hurricanes in U.S. history?

Reading comprehension. Learn it. Live it.

It's partly the constuction of this sentence that has everyone in a tizzy:

"They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time."

It doesn't mean there are 30 bodies in each tree. There are just bodies hanging in trees and scores of bodies are being gathered up from many many trees. And that's the very first category probably. Clear out the trees and get the bodies collected on the ground first for the next step in the weeks long process of counting. But when a body comes out of a tree and is staged with others on the ground, it may not be an officially tallied death yet.

So I don't think anyone is shorting the count from what this source says he saw.

I want to send money to help, does anyone know if the Red Cross has set up a relief fund yet?

"What I'm authorized to say now is we expect the death toll to be higher than anything we've ever seen before," said Jim Pollard, civil defense spokesman for Mississippi's Harrison County, which includes Biloxi and Gulfport.

Greater than the black death in the middle ages? Clearly the context was the official reports of 60 dead and such. No one seriously can doubt there lots of dead people in the wreckage. 30 bodies in a tree is sounds like the ellaberations of someone trying to make a point strongly, but wrecklessly. I just don't believe it. And he could not possibly know about thousands of dead without it being clearly visible by helicopters. I have yet to see a dead body at all (I not saying they haven't been shown.)

30 bodies per tree? That's not plausible.

"The word "thousands," and the 30-bodies-per-tree claim is pretty damn hysterical. When this thing is over, someone will have to offer appy polly loggies, and it will be the original poster on this thread."

My thoughts exactly.

But then to cover their @ss...the hysterical ones in here will just say "well there's no telling how many washed out to sea!" *rolls eyes*

"pulling out 30 at a time" == 2 tons of bodies. A pickup up truck load.
