The ratings actually showed that more people WANTED to see the Aruba story. Someone please explain that one. It's actually quite simple. Fox is now a tabloid network, which means their primary competition is no longer CNN or MSNBC -- it's the "Inside Hollywood" type of crap you see on the major networks.
It's becoming increasingly clear to me that Fox is marketing itself to an audience with an average IQ of about 90.

What about Krauthammer and Hannity? Two of the reasons I no longer watch Fox -bb
I don't know how much you watch him, but Charles K is one of the most astute observers, at the table. He routinely stomps on the libs, and gets to keep his status. He doesn't seem to be a liberal. He is not anything that I can really detect... but he usually does have some very good thoughts.
As for Sean, I can say similar things for Mr. O'Pompass...

Tell me about it...
Now that NWI is no more, I only watch TV news for major story coverage.
I can't really remember the last time I watched it before Katrina.

You need to back to school and learn how to count. Apparently you haven't looked at the numbers.

Time for FR to have it's own 24 hour conservative network. It doesn't have to be all-news either, there'd be hunting shows, tips on firearm defense, spotlights on key issues such as SS and illegal immigration (bayourod could be one of the debaters ROFL) and interviews with FReepers. Nork, Glock, Steveegg, Westcoastgal and Grrrr could host the weekly NASCAR Shows

I agree, Brit Hume, that's it.
For the London Bombing CNN was the best even if you had to read between the lines because of their slant. I'd still rather watch News, even left leaning, than People Magazine on the air.

I haven't watched BO, H & C, and Greta in over a year. In fact, other than Brit Hume, I haven't watch FNC since it went 24/7 over Scott Peterson. Although FNC is apparently holding its place from a ratings standpoint, I have to believe its because (a) it has more cable outlets than it had a year ago; and/or (b) thay are replacing the middle to high wage viewers that advertizers love with low or no wage welfare queens and Jerry Springer fans.
To: Red Badger
Replace Greta with Ann Coulter....Now we're talking ratings!

Looks like they have a break from Natalie with this hurricane. They are going to spend the next two or three weeks obsessing over the hurricane.
To: Phantom Lord
I believe he was talking about a decline in the quality...not the ratings.
Any idiot tv station could get ratings by showing non stop car crashes and train wrecks.
Apparently this is the strategy of FNC.

I don't know if I would call it obsessing. I think over the next 3 weeks, there will be a hell of a lot of real, hard news coming out of the destruction. Something else not of that scale will come along, though, and it will be just like their wall-to-wall Natalee coverage.
