We need to let him ‘fly the jet’, folks.

Aye, aye, PD, sir.

Point well made. Thanks for the time and the effort.

Well, I don't think the folks who run this forum really want me slinging my vanities all over the place. It has been suggested to me that I start my own blog, if I am going to be taking up this much space.

So I am shy about ranting like I do, so try hard to make what I write worth the read, and I strive to tone it down. I think a break from this stuff is in order, and Delta will get some gas money eventually, and I will be busy doing other things.

Bravo, PD... Bravo.

Your story was an inspiration all on its own, and our President is indeed trying to land the plane. May we all be a little more helpful in that endeavor, even if it means holding our tongues.

Pukin Dog, I'm working right now and don't have time to read this, but I've printed it out and am going to read it at a break. Hey, I love your stuff! Do you have a blog? If not, you should start one - I'd put it on my desktop for "Daily Must Reads" along with www.froggyruminations.com, et al.

With apologies to the mods for the earlier version.

Well, now, that must have been something :) I agree with you, PD. It is so easy to criticize. The President is a good man. He needs our support. He has mine and I will let him know it. (Glad you were able to land that plane.)

I dont have a blog, but I keep getting the suggestion. Even if I had one I would probably spend all my online time here in Free Republic rather than a site of my own, anyway. I also still have a full time job when my employer can borrow gas money.

GWB... Truly living by God's spirit. A man could not do this fine a job on his own. God bless our President.

Amen PD, that was a poignant, gut wrenching, profoundly beautiful rant. This was a butt kicking rant with a strong message of humility and common sense. Keep it up some of these freepers need to be bitch slapped out of their stupid whining. Your Mama did good PD. Thanks Mama PD.

An OUTSTANDING presentation, Sir.

Rates a 4.0.

You referenced you time in the Navy. Aboard our ship, (PIEDMONT) "Can Do" was a term given to any task placed before us. We got the job done and done right.

President Bush is a "Can Do" president and he will get it done and done right!

Salute....two

I have no doubt in my mind that Bush will succeed. That is not to say that he doesn't need our support, but I have every confidence that he, like the Great Ronald Wilson Reagan, will defeat the liberal traitors who attempt to undermine this great country. And also like Reagan, who single handedly saved the world from the threat of Communism, Bush will go down in history as the President who saved the world from the threat of islamofascism.

Good stuff! I agree with you about President Bush. He will very likely be remembered as one of the truly great presidents. I wish he was better at policing our borders, but otherwise, he's been the right man at the right time for our country. He is without a doubt the best hope for peace in the Middle East. No amount of Jimmy Cartering would have gotten democracy a even toehold in that madness.
