Wow. Now that everyone is wondering why I'm wiping tears from my eyes, thank you. With your permission I would love to forward this to family and friends.

Thank you so much for this wonderful reminder to let the president "fly the jet." I am in tears after reading your "rant." I hope this is not the last one we see from you. It truly needed to be said, and you said it exceedingly well.

You know, it usually takes me a couple of days camping up in in the forest without a shower to bring other people to tears.
lol. Thank you very much.

Thank you so much for writing this. My only wish is that it could be published in every newspaper, large and small, in this country.
It's an abomination how the politics of today rend this country in two. This is a time when people are coming together as one, and extending our hand to our fellow citizens on the Gulf Coast.
I support our President, and his leadership. We will get through this, but only if we do it as united as humanly possible.

"Deja Moo: The feeling that you've heard this bull before" That's great! Can I borrow this? Do I need to pay you royalties?

You flatter me. Thanks.
I'm actually not surprised by the politics of it all. Limbaugh predicted all of it. The left are collectively losing their minds, because they feel that power is their birthright.
They are like babies that cry louder and louder until mommy comes running. In 2006 and 2008 we are going to give them the spanking that these brats deserve.

Sure, go right ahead. It took me a while to settle on a more or less permanent tag line, but this one just, well, fits.

Thanks, but I'm very serious. I hope you will use this as a letter to the editor to some newspapers. You have a very powerful message here, something people need to see.

I'm going to give that some thought, but a lot of people come here, and even if they don't post a response, I'm confident that many folks are reading this. Sometimes I am even flattered to get attention from the nuts on Daily Kos and DU. They don't ever agree with me, but if they are reading, it means that I'm getting some distribution?

I am with you on this one. First, 9-11. Then, the ongoing war against terrorism. Now, it has fallen to him to handle the largest natural disaster in the history of our nation. For his leadership and service, he's reaped scorn and disdain from other nations and received relentless pounding from our internal enemies.
Though it's more evident than ever than his is largely a thankless job, I am especially grateful that we were blessed with George W. Bush as our President and not one of the potential alternatives who would now, no doubt, be as crippled and unable to lead as many of the liberal LA officials we have witnessed over the last few days. As truckloads of blame are being backed up to the White House lawn and as a new barrage of flaming arrows are about to fly, I'll be praying for our President and for our nation. More than ever, we here need to find areas of common ground and stand together. These are difficult and dangerous days and more lie ahead.

An eloquent and much needed piece, PD. Perhaps you can forward a copy to Peggy Noonan, before she dons her "objective critic" hat again.
Send a copy to all of the Republican senators, too.

I've got a feeling that things are going to be just fine. The Gulf States will dry out and be rebuilt, people will get fed and clothed. And after the MSM parade of victim stories ends, most of America will remember the stupid things said by the left, and how they could not help themselves from again trying to take advantage of tragedy for political gain. They did not learn from the Wellstone funeral, they did not learn from 9-11 and they wont learn from this. I believe that in 2006 we are going to win a 60 vote margin in the Senate, especially after the grand stupidity displayed today by Bill Nelson of Florida. Were I the lovely Ms Harris, I would in addition to sending me a signed copy of that picture of her on that horse, would throw Nelson's comments in his face at every opportunity.
