And do we really have a shadow government that answers to no one?

And are they anything like 'Punxsutawney Phil' and his shadow that gives the answer?

Was it Col Luna or one of the early Soviets who made it to America and went commerical almost immediately...

Said that growing up in Soviet Union...he decided that there
mostly two classes of people ..those in the camps and those
watching those in the camps..

The watchers had better living conditions so he decided it would be smarter to be one of them then one of the detainees.

Is FEMA hiring yet?

We are left with a host of questions.

The truth is out there, Agent Mulder.

Let's see, FEMA displayed a feeble level of organization in Hurricane Andrew and they are also a threat to control the USA as a shadow government. They really are incredibly subtle, aren't they?

This is especially so in light of the fact that in June of this year the Bush Administration reduced funding for the New Orleans District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers by a record $71.2 million . . .

As if New Orleans would be a thriving, healthy metropolis in August of 2005 if the Army Corps of Engineers had allocated an additional $71 million to New Orleans in June of 2005. These people are unbelievable.

Maybe we should just start looking at the real positive elements of that move. If the ACE had started work on a major levee project this year, the thing would have been flooded while it was still being done -- and we'd be out $71 million more than the $500 bazillion this storm is going to cost when all the damage is tallied.

Actually, this looks like a pretty good move. Do they really think that they could have shored up the levee in two months spending only $71.2M ? That money would have just been wasted trying to study a scenario that no longer exists.

So the question is, if Bush had approved the funding, would this have been prevented or lessened? Of course not. But to a liberal mind, words are all that matters. Results mean nothing.

Bush can't afford to p!ss off his base, or things like this will come at him hard and fast.

I stopped reading there. They've had YEARS to repair levees. What's Clintons excuse for not doing so? *crickets*

And they could have built a new levee in what, 2 months. What a crock.

The citizens get the gov they choose, and the rest pay dearly for it.

I was wondering how long some nutbar would tie this to a grand scheme to take over the country.

It actually took a bit longer than I expected.

I do believe the black helicopters flown by Vince Foster and Elvis are responsible for the anarchy in NOLA.

Luckily, I have a Costco size container of tinfoil to protect me from their evil influences. (…. M U S T R E S I S T…..)

I will wrap myself, my wife, the baby, four cats and a dog up nice and securely tonight before we all retire to the hidden bomb shelter underneath our house. Someone will have to come by and tell us when it's all clear to come out.

You'll need your secret squirrel decoder ring to make the shoe phone work.
