I saw it but couldn't make sense of what she was saying.
If this was at the Convention Center it's just not true.
Watched Fox yesterday as Steve Harrigan was reporting live while the people at the Convention Center were being fed.
OUTRAGE! At least let people take care of themselves!
Whose idea was it to call American citizens refugees?
we were taken aback by it, because it was a completely gratuitous slam at the president.
The press is only seeing a small part of the problem.
or gun weilding looters, REBELS??
Get your facts straight. There are 2,000 people remaining at the Super Dome.
Of course its an outrage. Don't tell that to some of the Generals on FR who could care less and want to assume each of these people are gang bangers and criminals. I have seen mostly elderly and women myself on the TV.
Yes, you are right.
I don't watch Fox News nearly as much as I used to but I've been watching a lot of hurricane coverage.
Normally, I get most of my news from the Internet now.
Yes. Thank you.
I find it disgusting how easily words become corrupted. There has to be a reason for it and I would like to know who started it.
Unfortunately true...tourists stuck in town reported the same...the police turned them back, they in turn chose to stay on the freeway instead of the convention center. That's unbelievable. I would not have stayed in town, I would have wanted to walk as far from town as possible....obviously not an option.
i think it is indicative of an agenda, so i agree with you. i think it was martha mccallum that used the word Rebels, though i am not positive.
"Geraldo was doing his best last night to incite a riot."
His "performance" was utterly shameful.
My take also.
Seems that "battle fatigue" combined with their own egotisitical visions of self importance got the better of them.
"Why on earth would you or Geraldo want thousands more people wandering through waist deep sewage and armed gangs?"
Where are these people going to walk to without water, food and other essentials? That would have been another disaster as that Freeway became a highway of dead refugees.
"Geraldo was doing his best last night to incite a riot. Fortunately, he failed."
Whorealdo was completely insane last night on Fox. He was trying to incite a riot, and he failed.
That's the $64,000 question.
I can't understand why, in a post 9/11 America, things haven't run more smoothly. Haven't all cities come up with emergency plans and running drills? And let's face it...when you live on ANY coast, you plan for the worst.
Is all this (aftermath) really Bush's fault? After all, most of the country and MSM seems to believe that it is. Where is the LA Gov. in all this? The mayor? Wasn't the whole "Homeland Security" thing supposed to cause all cities to prepare for disaster?
Why are Americans waiting on an interstate with food and water passing them in trucks, and no one stopping?
At least Shep was able to put to rest a fallacy and drumbeat of many on FR that these peopleare too lazy to walk the bridge.
I saw another report that said tourists were moved to the front of the line for evacuation. At this point I'm taking it all with a grain of salt.
