I'm aware of this whole "changed article" issue. I saw it here on Free Republic last night. At first it's hard to follow, but everyone should try, because it's huge.

The original CNN article, now still in existence the Google cache, contains these crucial words:"Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco said that President Bush had called and urged the state to order the evacuation."

However, now if you try to go to the original CNN article, it has been drastically changed. Among other changes, this damning quote has bee left out.

Unbelievable. I've seen this type of thing via Free Republic so many times. It's one of the things that keeps me coming back. To think they used to get away with this kind of thing routinely.

That quote doesn't exactly state Blanco wasn't going to order the evacuation, but it's great President Bush made sure she would.
