FLOYD (AP) --- Investigators in the Evelyn Miller case executed a search warrant Friday at home of the slain girl's mother.
Multiple agencies were involved in the search of the apartment shared by Noel Miller, and her fiance, Casey Frederiksen, Floyd County Attorney Marilyn Dettmer told the Charles City Press.
Investigators left the residence about 90 minutes after executing the warrant. They had at least 15 brown paper evidence bags and a computer that were loaded into the back of a sheriff's pickup, the newspaper reported. A video recorder also was taken.
Five-year-old Evelyn Miller went missing from her mother's residence on July 1. Her body was found six days later in the Cedar River, about two miles from her home. Her death has been ruled a homicide, but details about how and when she was killed have not been released. No arrests have been made.
Noel Miller has said her daughter was discovered missing when she returned home from working overnight at the Nora Springs Care Center and found the apartment door open. Frederiksen and the couple's sons were asleep inside.
Miller and Frederiksen were joined by their attorney, Richard Stochl, as authorities executed the search warrant, the newspaper reported.
Miller went back into the house briefly before officers left.
"Thanks for cleaning up after yourselves," she yelled to investigators as she and family applauded their departure.
Dettmer said the warrant was part of the ongoing investigation. She did not release additional information.
Early Friday afteroon, investigators searched the Charles City house of Evelyn Miller's mother and fiance.
As we've covered, the five year old's body was found in early July several days after she disappeared.
On Tuesday the F.B.I. and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, along with local authorities, searched Noel Miller and Casey Frederickson's home. A neighbor saw them taking things out of the house.
Lance Niemi tells KIMT Newschannel Three, "I didn't see anything else, except for the bags with the computer. It didn't take long, they were in there for like an hour, maybe only forty-five minutes or somewhere in there."
Floyd County Attorney Marilyn Dettmer says the investigation is very active and ongoing, but wouldn't release anything else at this point.

You have to wonder what exactly they are going to uncover in a search 2 months(!) after the murder and after a move to a different city.
Why are they booing and hissing an investigation of their daughter's death. I'd have thought the mother would have shown the investigators almost anything they wished.
Please watch what comes of a Federal Grand Jury in Cedar Rapids this Thursday September 8.

She's such trash - you would think she'd be helping them find out who murdered her child.
She should take a page from OJ and search for the murderer like he does.
