The only reason liberals are were thought of as "serious people trying to make change for the better" is because until the arrival of Rush on the scene Conservatives took the high road and allowed liberals to belittle their beliefs. Conservatives now know they have to get dirty and fight the liberal scumbags on their level in order to keep any kind of political power. I believe the masses no longer believe that liberals are serious people trying to make change for the better but rather they are seen by most as power hungry kooks trying to get their hands on tax money. I believe this change has occurred because conservatives have learned to defend themselves and go on the offensive.
Screw Canada. Pissant, low self esteem, 2nd rate, lazy, losers. Freedom for Alberta.
Canada is Canada because Canada is inhabited by socialists. 70% of the population wants to give power back to the communists, all in various stripes. NDP, Liberals, Green, Bloc are essentially parties that believe in entitlement from cradle to the grave.
That is what is wrong with Canada. Canadians hate conservatism. That may seem strange to Americans – and indeed it is strange to me that anyone could be proud of either being a liberal or a leftist – but somehow they are.
A republic won’t change that. But perhaps it could limit the damage the federal government could inflict on the provinces?
