New Orleans Mayor Suggests CIA May Take Him Out Over His Criticism of Federal Efforts (CNN)
CNN TV ^ | 3 August 2005 | AmericanInTokyo

On CNN just now. New Orleans Mayor Nagin, apparantly stressed out, in interview segment, said he has been yelling at the President and the Governor, and for all he knows, the "CIA could wipe me out". (Paraphrase) Just now.

Turning into a strange, macabre show now. Blame continues, spiraling out of control. Sad. It even raised CNN's eyebrows a bit.(5:57 p.m. Eastern/4:57 p.m. Central)

What's truly sad though, is even as we see this knucklehead for what he is, imagine the talk over at DU agreeing with this guy..

Typical rat-out-of-control-syndrome. He knows he screwed up over a week ago when he failed to ask for fed.help early enough and now, as they always do, he's trying to shift the blame to you know who.

"He probably found out sometime after Bush calmed him down that the BUS PICTURE has been on Drudge's site for two days now. Quite a damning piece of evidence."

Even if those school buses weren't road worthy enough for an eight hour run, they still could've used the buses to at least transport 20,000 people 2 to 3 hours out of harms way.

The mayor needs to take a leave of absence immediately, for his own sake and for the people of New Orleans.

It's not as if he's needed right now, since there is no city of New Orleans to administer.

And Nagin is one of the more reasonable Democrats. Seriously.""

I think he was- until about 10 days ago, when the pistons started changing holes in his engine.

Can anyone imagine the problems if Howard Dean was in charge down there? AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!

I doubt the CIA, more likely the northern branch of the NOLA crime family, the daley mob.

Maybe the Mayor thought that when the President told him that "you are OK with me" -- this was code for "but it is not me you should worry about."

This guy has no business being in power at any level.

True. He is trying to latch on to some kind of 'victim' status to save his 'bacon'.

Note to self: do a little googling on the mayor and his life, politics, dirty laundry prior to Katrina.

I think he had a little protection racket going on the side.

Sounds like he got his marching orders from DNC Headquarters.""

I have been thinking that for days. Sounds like a Howard Dean strategy....with assistance from John Kerry. ( He was in Viet Nam, you know)

While such a deranged comment will discredit him in the eyes of rational people, it actually plays very well in a LARGE portion of the black communities nationwide. They have been sold CIA conspiracies for causing the crack cocaine epidemic and all sorts of other problems. We may see the Mayor as going over the edge, but on subjects like this he is right in the mainstream of the 'African-American' community.

If only we could get the CIA to take out some of the world's tyrants and sociopaths, but they've definitely been out of that business for a long, long time.

Actually, if he is going to be wiped out for yelling at the President, the Secret Service can handle it, easily. No need to bother CIA or FBI.

Hey, Nagin....be careful Dubya will be back in town Monday!

I kept seeing those kinds of pics, and just briefly would glance at them. I thought those were barges/semi-truck haulers that were in the water.

I just looked closer, due to this thread, and realized .... those are buses.
