Correct, with gas at over $3.00 per gallon, the GOP would lose, which goes to the fact that the electorate is ill informed, and ignorant on why gas prices are so high. Any elementary study of why gas is so high, of course points to the Enviro-nuts, and the Democrats as the culprits.

I know that and you know that; the electorate in general does not. The only safe assumption there is for republicans is that they have six months starting from now to get gas prices under $2/gallon.
