US Says Israeli Teams Not Needed; Supplies - Yes
10:41 Sep 06, '05 / 2 Elul 5765
(IsraelNN.com) The United States has informed Israel that it is not in need of an Israeli emergency medical delegation to assist in recovery from the Hurricane Katrina disaster in the southern US. However, the foreign ministry was told that the survivors are in need of medical and other supplies, such as diapers, blankets and the like.
An Israeli shipment for Hurricane Katrina survivors is due to depart Wednesday night. It will bring 80 tons of supplies and medical equipment to the US.
