REHNQUIST'S FUNERAL BEGINS

Chief Justice Rehnquist's pallbearers included Judge John G. Roberts, who had been nominated by President Bush to fill the Supreme Court seat being vacated by Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
Judge Roberts, who was once a law clerk for Chief Justice Rehnquist, has now been selected by the president to succeed Mr. Rehnquist as chief justice of the United States. Confirmation hearings for Judge Roberts will likely begin next week.

They were 1 and 3 in the Stanford Law Class of 1952 right? I wonder who Number 2 was and how they feel about not making it to the Supreme Court.

i think it was James Rosen from Fox that interviewed her once and brought up the fact that they once DATED. Making a little joke, he asked something like was he a judicial ACTIVIST on the date or did he exercise judicial RESTRAINT. she kind of huffed a bit and said something like he had been a perfect gentleman.
