CA Assembly passes driver's licenses for illegal aliens (Gil Cedillo's SB-60)
CA Assembly ^ | 9/2/05 | CA Assembly

On Friday the California Assembly voted 43-31 to approve SB60, state Sen. Gil Cedillo's bill that would give driver's licenses to illegal aliens.

I believe this now goes to Arnold Schwarzenegger for his signature. He has said he would veto driver's license bills before the federal government has released their guidelines for implementing the REAL ID Act, but it's always good to make sure.

Please call, FAX, or email Schwarzenegger and demand that he veto this bill:

I agree...I told the regional office as much, that if Arnold allowed both or even either of these two bills to pass, he'd lose re-election.

These are the bread&butter issues for most of us conservatives and the cornerstone upon which we voted for Schwarzenegger for office. He's going to lose conservative voting support remaining if he lets these two pass, or either one.

That picture is NOT of Armando Navarro, the UCR professor:

While Navarro is on the other side, we don't want to falsely accuse someone. I believe that Navarro has also mentioned suing over this.

"I really need to get out of this state. I have had it up to my eyeballs."

Left Cali in 1994. They made laws on how many pets you could own, couldn't park your car on the grass in front of your own house, motorcycle helmet law. Heard gun shots and helicopters every night, burglary in broad daylight. And that was the nice neighborhoods.

It was a nice place to live though, in the '50s.

I never suggested it was anyone by any name.

YOU are the one who suggested it was/was not "Armando Navarro," not me. I never said it was anyone of any name, just "an employee of the University of California."

we're going to need a caravan. I'm right behind you. I think the great state of Texas might be the place.

We just moved from there back to CA - lots of illegals in Texas as well. And they're getting lots of our tax money in the form of free handouts. And the schools are also pretty bad because they still have bilingual education, which at least CA did away with. I'd stay away from the border states, given a choice. I'm thinking perhaps Utah or Idaho...
