Just caught this at the end...Pelosi was being interview live on CNN, and she was spewing about the Bush failures..The CNN anchor was asking a few tough questions, interupting Pelosi, not letting the wild charges be go unchallenged, when Pelois, obviously annoyed, said "Well, why don't you quit your job ( at CNN) and got to work for the Bush White House?"
Almost. Pelosi, thankfully, is only a Congress-bitch, representing the moonbat capital of America, SF and parts of Moron County. Can you IMAGINE what she'd be like if she was a Senator??

I saw the same chief interviewed on the Today show this morning. He made a huge, totally over-the-top, embarrassingly servile, unctuous and sycophantish point of extolling how wonderful is Mayor Nagin of N.O. I mean, the way this guy described the mayor, Churchill at the height of the London blitz had nothing on Nagin for extraordinary leadership in the face of adversity!
...but if you saw the whole interview, the anchor (Kyra Phillips) went on her own editiorial tyrade about the response and the federal government, but never once brought up the role of local and state officials.

Kyra Phillips opened the interview by remarking that many including the Times Picayune and Congress warned of the possibility of this happening. Pelosi launched into her diatribe about firing the FEMA Director and Phillips interrupted her and asked who she would replaced him with. Pelosi said someone like James Witt, former FEMA Director in the Clinton Administration, and Phillips said Witt was one of those who had said New Orleans was in danger. From then one in went downhill for Pelosi.
She did in fact say that the whole situation was "pathetic", particularly after hearing 14 dead at Memorial Hospital. I really did see this as a Bush bashing.
In other words, she looked like most female Democrats.
Bush has them both under control now. Nagin's gonna be harder to find than Jimmy Hoffa, and Blanco was singing "we are family" with the head of FEMA, NO police chief and one of the National Guard Generals at a press conference yesterday.

But up until recently, Fox was in the lead for more shows, wasn't it? I had thought I had read that Anderson Cooper had a 2.5 share, which is big, if that's correct and not my imagination playing bad games on me.
I remember that. He said something like Mayor Nagrin was the greatest mayor in the history of the world or some such foolishness.
While based on what I've heard so far, I do not have a lot of confidence in the NOPD.
Before jumping to too many conclusions about cowardice, we need to know how many of those missing officers died in the line of duty.
