The answer is because Hannity is talking about how he's "Breaking these stories" and doesn't want his general audience to know the sources of his schtick & how he's otherwise pretty lame when it comes to figuring things out.

I'm with you. It didn't sound to me like you got taken out by a 7-second delay, because there was no 7-second gap. So I have to assume Sean just didn't want to deal with a random freeper.
He does talk to freepers, so I don't understand it, but it seemed to me that was the case today.

They've been doing that for quite awhile. It started just before the 2000 election when the Democrats commandeered old people in retirement homes and got them to call C-SPAN claiming to be Republicans, then say they were voting Dem this time.

I agree with your remark. Hannity almost never gives credit to anyone else. Says he spends all his time before the show reading, but then doesn't credit where he got the info. from. I've always thought he or his staff lurk on FR.
Hannity has a place, but I don't listen to him much anymore.

PS I swear to you all, I said nothing bad about FreeRepublic.com whatsoever. All I did was begin to say "I'd like to bring you a report FROM FreeRepublic.com..." and all I heard was Hannity saying "thank you very much" and I was hung up on.That's the way I heard it - as soon as FR was mentioned, Sean said "Alright, goodbye" and hung up, went immediately to the next caller without saying anything.
