Rasmussen Poll: Bush JA @ 48%
Rasmussen ^

Posted on 09/10/2005 6:49:51 AM PDT by slowhand520

With all the over sampled doom and gloom polls the MSM pinko propagandists are shoving down our throat I thought I would present the most accurate of them all. This is registered voters.

Saturday September 10, 2005--Forty-eight percent (48%) of American adults now approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President.

Fifty-two percent (52%) disapprove.

Eighty-four percent (84%) of Republicans now give the President their Approval. That positive assessment is shared by 20% of Democrats and 38% of those not affiliated with either major party.

In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, consumer confidence fell to its lowest level in more than two years. It has recovered somewhat and is now approaching pre-Katrina levels.

The MSM is deeply saddened. Resolves to work harder.

Thanks, this is encouraging, but the same poll shows a whopping 38% strongly disapprove. That's a tough hurdle to overcome.

As hard as the media shows their hatred for this President, the more I realize their hate is our best weapon. Dems can only wish elections were this year lol

The hardcore liberal base is about 40%.

The remainder hate Bush because he is too liberal about other issues.

These 39% job approval ratings keep getting reported by every media outlet.

Even though 70% Democrats is now the "standard" sample. The pollsters know their business so why would they not use a truly representative randomized sample.

Cause they know their business. And their business is making income from those who will pay. And those who will pay are the media outlets. Who are asking for bad news about Bush to report.

It is so blatant but it seems that we can not do anything about it.

Thanks this is encouraging. After reading PowerLine last night, I needed cheering up. After listening to Rush a little yesterday, I think we all need cheering up.Could the backlash be starting. I'd like to see some good PR from the Bush White House this week. That would help.

But the bottom line is Katrina was a natural disaster and sad event for the people of the Gulf Coast. It's sad that it was used so early as a political weapon.

What the died in the wool republicans are missing is the huge block of true conservatives that are deeply disappointed in this president, especially his domestic agenda, his inaction in securing the southern boarder, who are never going over to the demonrats come hell or high water, but are sitting on their hands wondering how the eight years they voted for are being squandered with scant reforms to show for it. This is why the poll numbers are so dredful, he has suceeding in peeing off both the left and the right at the same time.

Actually, Rasmussen is currently polling 'adults' rather than the 'likely voters' he polled all of last year!

However, you are correct, Rasmussen is the most accurate of the pollsters currently surveying the American public and he still oversamples Democrats!

FYI 1:
Today's JA rating of 48% represents a HIGH for the president post-Katrina . . . bottomline: the President's JA ratings are trending UP not down as the MSM would have us believe!

[Note: With both gasoline and crude oil prices trading off their post-Katrina highs we should start seeing a PERCEPTIBLE drop in gas prices at the pump . . . this will only help the President's JA ratings!]

FYI 2:
According to Rasmussen, to estimate the President's JA rating among 'likely voters' we simply add 2-3 points to his JA among 'adults' . . . this means that the President's JA approval among 'likely voters' is over 50% -- where it was on election day 2004! THE MORE THINGS CHANGE THE MORE THEY STAY THE SAME!

Almost any boss of any company would have the same stats. When you're at the top, you get marked. Of course, some of us peons do too:-). We can twist the stats and say 1 in 5 Republicans disapproves of how the President is doing his job. You can view stats in a mulititude of different ways to suit your own views or political aims or agendas.

Sorry, the polling data does NOT support your premise!

Even Pew's poll from this past week indicates that CONSERVATIVE Republicans are THE MOST SUPPORTIVE of the President -- almost 90% vs 82% for Republicans who describe themselves as more liberal/moderate . . . Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?!
[Note: The trendlines are the same in EVERY other poll that I've reviewed this week!]

Looks like his chances are good for a turd turm. Rass is the only one who got the election right. If he went 50-50 it would be 54%!

Great point. The presidents approval rating among republicans has always been in the 80-90's. The one thing I have noticed though is that some conservative outlets especially National Review have gone weak kneed. It seems they have lost the will to fight back.

If the media wishes to continue to report bogus liberal bias polls, we need to write them and protest. We need to inform the news agencies that we will write their sponsors and threaten to boycott sponsor's products if the liberal reporting continues. Today, the news primarily displays a liberal political prism.

We support our President and are ready to defend him against liberal bias news reporting.
