Four years after 9/11, war on terror slogs on(BS alert)

Progress depends on how this new war is defined. It is a campaign to destroy al-Qaeda's terrorist enterprise. It has become inextricably intertwined with the struggle to suppress an insurgency in Iraq. It is a selective effort to defeat other terrorist organizations that threaten the United States and its allies. It is a decades-old effort to combat terrorism as a mode of conflict that will continue for decades. And it is conflated with efforts to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction on the presumption that their development by states will lead inevitably to their acquisition by terrorists – too many things to measure in the aggregate.

How are we doing in Iraq? Reconstruction is behind schedule, although vital infrastructure is slowly being improved On the minus side, our intelligence is inadequate. We have too few troops. Even with ample recruits, Iraqis will need years to take over their own security. Coalition forces cannot control Iraq's borders with Iran or Syria, both of which have incentives to make things difficult. Even bringing security up to the level of the U.S. border with Mexico, which would require a huge investment, might have little significant impact on the insurgents' operational effectiveness.

Yes the war on terror slogs on. Yet in that time we have liberated 50+ million people and we are killinig jihadis where ever we can fight them. So to the media who complains about 4 years STFU! Remember media scum ww2 was 4 years and we finally won. But that was due to having a clear enemy IE the Germans and the Japanese. This war has been said by our President will last longer then most modern wars, one reason no clear enemy only scummy jihadis from all over the world looking to have a face to face meeting with ALLAH{SATAN}! So sit back liberals and let the grown ups do the work..

Final Design Announced
The design for the permanent Memorial for Flight 93 was announced on September 7, 2005 amid overwhelming support . .

So the mark of the Jihadists will forever emblazon our landscape. Is it time to cry for America yet...???????????? This design seems to be a fitting memorial for the Muslims who died aboard Flt 93. The hijackers whose ashes are fused into the shale with those of their victims, of all the shapes, in all of geometry, they pick the symbol of Muslim power, THE CRESCENT!!!

Why not a monument of the passengers beating the crap out of the hijackers?

This is like making a holocaust memorial in the shape of a swastika. Absolutely disgusting. I think is a slap in the face of every solider that is fighting terrorism now. And a shameful way to honor those that have died in this fight.
Recognize it for what it is....

This is a great example of the disconnect between the ratmedia and real Americans. They actually think they are part of America and therefore can demand their opinions be valued. They're not and their opinions are not.
Look at last week's Harris poll. It showed that an insignificant 14% of Americans respect journalists as being in a prestigious occupation. We have to ask these skunks "What makes you think that America cares what you say?"

Opposition to the war is growing. Its initial justification proved false – we found no weapons of mass destruction. Its connection with 9/11 is now discredited – Iraq had nothing to do with the attack. Its outcome is increasingly uncertain. It is not unpatriotic to ask where we're going.

Conclusions built on false or, at least, inconclusive evidence. Iraq DID have and engaged targets with WMD. Able Danger and its data mining evidence showing Iraqi connections to 9-11 was convieniently set aside and buried during the 9-11 Commission hearings.

I don't really care what Brian Jenkins' previous background is or that he carries the moniker of the Rand Institute. If he can't connect the simple dots as easy as an ordinary schmuck like me, then he is either too erudite for his own good, a polital hack or both.
