Nice summation. And all true.

Amen! Bush could do better with another FEMA director. Nagin and Blanco should not even be allowed to place their names on a ballot again. They have disqualified themselves.

"I would like to see Michael Brown fired. But I also look forward to seeing the citizens of Louisiana let Blanco know what they think, the next time they vote. Ditto Nagin, should New Orleans hold elections again."

I don't have the patience to wait until the next election for someone in this state to be held accountable for their failure. Just as was done to Mike Brown, it is time for Republicans to start demanding the resignations of those local officials who were even more responsible than FEMA. This means that Terry Ebbert and Jay Mayveaux have to go; two political appointees who had more power and authority than Mike Brown ever had in Louisiana and New Orleans.
