Creation says we are all made in the image of God and that He created us.
Hmm, from a rock or by and in the image of God. As for me, Ill stay with God being my great, great grandpaw 200 times removed.
Evolution in no way descounts toe existence of a deity, it just doesn't hand-wave the process away by invoking invisible spirits (much like the Theory of Gravity doesn't assume that "God likes to push stuff down".)
Question: What is the purpose of life under the theory of evolution?
Answer: To survive long enough to reproduce.
Nice try, but evolution says nothing about the origin of life. Nor does it say anything about the origin of the universe.

Careful, both sides might rip you for that one:).
No it doesn't. Evolution says that all species share a common descent and provides an explanation. It doesn't say where the first life came from.
Creation says we are all made in the image of God and that He created us.
That we are made/created "in the image of God" idea/theory really just makes the creationists/IDists feel better about themselves.
That's really what it's all about. They just can't stand the thought they might be something less than made "in the image of God".
Show proof that evolution says that or be called a liar.
"Evolution says we are all decedents of a rock that was created from some dust that formed from an explosion of nothing."
That is not remotely the Darwinian theory.
Darwin's book was called "On the Origin of Species," not "On the origin of Life." It starts with life, original origin unexplained, leaving fully open Divine spark.
If you are going to attack something, at least know what it is.
Image of god? A god with an appendix? Not much of a god in my book.
Boy, have you ever got that wrong. Evolution says nothing about the origins of life.
BTW, the Bible says man was created from dust.
Gross misrepresentation of the mainstream scientific position aside...
You have an interesting way to determine factual truth. Which appears to be just go with whatever position makes you feel most comfortable in yourself. Others of us prefer to examine the evidence before deciding.
Misrepresentation of the entire Theory of Evolution aside, doesn't the Bible say that God made us from dirt or dust? Or maybe you're reading the second creation story in Genesis 2, I can never keep them straight...
The Theory of Evolution does not include the so called "Big Bang". They are two different theories.
The Theory of Evolution says nothing on the origin of life, only that life forms evolve through natural selection.
Neither the Theory of Evolution, nor the Big Bang Theory explain "what came before". Science will always be incomplete in this aspect, and scientists will always have to to take their ideas of "what came before" on faith.
