The Dem playbook

The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:

Kennedy -- civil rights

Leahy -- Bybee torture memo

Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment

Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties

Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade

Feingold -- limits of executive powers

Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

Considering that Specter said he wouldn't ask Roberts about Roe v Wade, this is astounding!

Specter said he wouldn't ASK Roberts about Roe v Wade, but he never promised to not hold up a five foot blue board regarding the case. /sarc

Now Specter asks, that since the SCOTUS has had an opportunity, according to him, to over rule Roe V. Wade **38** times, shouldn't it be called a "SUPER DUPER STARE DECISIS".

What a joker.

IMHO, since the Court has taken it up SO much, then the nominee has ALL THE MORE REASON to not say how he would rule on it.

Spectre knows there are three cases related to Roe coming up, Roberts shouldn't be answering these.

Exactly!

Specter will vote to confirm Roberts in both committee and on the floor.

He will no longer Chair the Judiciary Committee if he fails to do both.

Specter: It's OK if you are Catholic, so long as you are not too Catholic.

The abortion debate is the key factor in this hearing, specter is setting the tone for the attacks coming from the left vis a vie, Schumer and Frankenstien ( I mean Feinstein.

He appears left he is moderate in this line of questioning,
preparing the viewers (framing the issue)a chance to understand the law, before the attack begins.
OPs4 God Bless America!

If he keeps this up, we'll have to refer to him as Senator Sphincter.

Specter is getting the abortion stuff in early so the MSM will use HIM as their video bite.

The chart is insurance to make sure Specter gets his face time.

more widely broadcast than any other Supreme Court hearing in history, maybe with the exception of Clarence Thomas

LOL, I wouldn't know since that was back in the day when I only got one channel so didn't have a choice not to watch anything but Thomas.

I had no idea that Spector enjoyed killing babies so much.
He wants to make sure nobody interferes with his apparent favorite activity. What a POS. He's a Republican?
