Clinton's worldview (***Barf Alert***)
FinanceAsia ^ | 13 September 2005 | Lara Wozniak

CLSA Kicks off its Investors' Forum with Bill Clinton as its charismatic Keynote Luncheon Speaker.

He has bags under his eyes the size of almonds and looks too thin for a healthy robust man - particularly if still fixed in your mind is the McDonald's-munching jogger. But the 42nd president of the United States still possesses charisma delivered with his down-home Southern syntax and expressions punctuated by long, drawn-out pauses for emphasis that cause many within an audience to laugh and nod along in approval - or with resigned, but occasionally amused, disapproval.

At the CLSA Investors' Forum that opened in Hong Kong on Monday at the Grand Hyatt, he spoke enthusiastically about his own programme, the William J. Clinton Foundation, which aims, in part, to continue some of the work of his presidency. He was arguably a tad too saccharine in his upbeat view on China's role in helping him with his efforts to distribute medicine to Aids patients - but one could sense his own feeling of mortality and a willingness to leave a humanitarian mark on the world, not unlike his Democratic predecessor, Jimmy Carter. But he also answered pointed questions - both from the moderator and from the audience - speaking freely about how he'd handle the job now if he had another shot at it and his views on how he felt when the United States bombed the Chinese embassy in Belgrade.

Below is Part 1 of a two-part series of his answers to questions as varied as his views on the Unocal deal, the high-price of oil and the Kyoto accord. Tune in tomorrow for his comments on the upcoming 2006 elections, the likelihood of the United States electing a woman president and secret lists privy to global superpower leaders.

Am I the only one thinking that Slick's health is MUCH worse than he's leading us to believe?

No, you're right.

There was some very interesting speculation along these lines long before his heart bypass surgery. In fact, I speculated back in late 2001 that he had undergone some kind of medical treatment for a serious health issue that warranted some extraordinary secrecy on the part of the Clinton PR machine and the mainstream media.

I agree with you. It seems like he should've recovered from his surgery by now. He looks to me like he s still in ill health.

In years to come it will be discovered that this organization is associated with all manner of international corruption, crime and atrocities and will be investigated extensively. The MSM and 'polite society' will cover for Clinton even though it's obvious he's neck deep in the worst of it. This was Clinton's legacy as governor and president.

A million bucks are green and wrinkled too.

So, are we suggesting that Willie could have acquired some sort of disease affecting his immune system?
Let's see, Hillary said they had "some problems in their marriage". Was that 'Billary-speak' for: "That hound will jump anything with a pulse."?

Notwithstanding Bubba's suffering from AIDS (I'm speculating), Bubba's worldview is limited to the length of a cigar and what he's allowed to do to it.

His health is NOT good.

Remember that procedure he was Hospitalized for a few months back? What he had is called "tamponade" and it means he's one sick puppy.

When I was in the Hospital for the same symptoms as Clinton, fluid in the pericardial sac, fluid in the lower lungs, my Cardiologists were baffled about why I would have it as it is usually found in people either very much younger than I am, OR those who have a history of cancer or heart disease, and for this latter group, it is NOT a good sign.

Not to bore you with statistics, but among those with a history of cancer or heart disease, some 63% were dead within a year, and 91% were dead within 3 years.

The fact that he hasn't looked good since that procedure, the fact that he's cancelled appearances due to "exhaustion" tells me that the statistics are working exactly "on time" with him.

Not to be crass but I don't want his death to occur in 3 years, as the "poor Hillary" sympathy vote would probably propel that witch right into the Presidency.

(In case you are wondering, my version was "viral", and according to the same study, I will die, years from now, of something else.)

Not unusal for post-CABG patients to not look all that great.....

That being said...SickSlick does look worn out...he looks older than the first President Bush.

Drugs, cheating, murder, stealing, lying tends to do that do a person........Besides ducking ashtrays and lamps all your married life....

I am never quite sure about that one but regardless whether she does or not she would play the widowed wife to perfection not too much weeping and wailing so that one could not accuse her of not being able to function but that stoic get on with it which would do just what Truthy says give her the sympathy vote.
