Bump for later...
Not sure if this has been posted yet.
The politically-spun response from ABC News: "Viewers Skeptical Over Bush Speech"
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/HurricaneKatrina/wireStory?id=1131403
I was watching the ABC show during dinner with the wife. When they interviewed the first lady I almost choked. My wife was pumping her fist in the air screaming "How do you like that!"
I told my wife it was as if a Freeper had gone into the Astrodome with printouts of the overhead pictures of buses in NOLA and handed them out. It was like those evacuees were on FreeRepublic talking points. I haven't seen anything as great as that on lamestream media for as long as I can remember.
Okay freepers, fess up. Which one of you handed out the talking points in the Astrodome? LOL
They are in full DNC mode. Last week, they ran a (surprise) one-sided hit piece on the federal response, which (surprise) led into an interview with Hillary! where she announced she wanted a Katrina Commission to look into (surprise) only the federal response.
They're shameless.
I believe I saw that on FR. I don't know anymore --LOL I started the day early and read a lot :-)
**To ABC's Surprise, Katrina Victims Praise Bush and Blame Nagin **
The truth will come out, won't it?
Yay!
Funny, but we won't see this often as they ususally "pre-screen" people so as to get the most animated Bush haters on they can find.
I used to be annoyed by Michael Kinsley, but after being bashed over at the LA Times for enabling conservative views, I think better of him than I used to.
I did see that reported, but then again, I read the alternate media LOL!
Eventually. Kicking and screaming.
I bet the MSM will become even MORE harsh on republicans.
The MSM have been complete "tool" of the far left and yet STILL failed to get the spin to stick.
FNC has Marvin Kalb, a COMPLETE BUFOOON.
Left wing wast of electrons. blah blah blah bush bad blah blah blah MSM good blah blah blah.
I specifically watched ABC and flipped to NBC just to see their reactions.
I was STUNNED by what I saw on ABC. I could not believe how blatant Dean was when he was asking those questions. He sounded incredulous that those folks didn't blame President Bush. At one point he asked someone "Why?" and it came out so strangled I thought he was going to choke!
BTW, here is a poll we can freep:
Hopefully the link will work!

Thanks for the ping!
thanx!
ABC is still at it......with all those soundbites praising GWB to choose from.....this morning my local ABC radio news played one of a woman saying "I don't want to hear naything more about Katrina; I just want to watch a movie."
Looks like they just removed the poll. Sorry.
If katrina had hit NO head on you neighbor would probably be dead right now along with 10's of thousands of fellow NO residents. With 165+ sustained winds and a 30+ft storm surge the whole city would have been instantly swamped under 30ft of water. It would have made the Galvaston Tx. hurricane look like a car accident.
The only follow-up story about the speech on their website is an AP story about 2 New Orleans residents living elsewhere who were extremely negative towards the President---the article mentions curse words.
Not one word about their interview or Dean or Koppel.
Y'know, I've been one of those who have wished Bush & Co. would come out and read some of the DUmb party the riot act; but at this point, I have to say that his style of totally ignoring the MSM, refusing to rise to the Democrat Party bait, and most of all, just saying what he is going to do, and then doing it, has to be the most effective method of dealing with them that ANY Republican office-holder has accomplished since Reagan.
George can't be the communicator Reagan was; and his anti-political style of following up on his promises is in effect literally destroying the Democrat Party. I just hope we can find another guy of his stature to run in '08. Maybe Hayle Barbour?
