I didn't see anywhere in the story that the woman took the sausage from the deli. The story is that she went to her car to get some sausage to eat. Did the sausage come from the deli? - I don't think that has been established from the story.
I'm surprised they didn't drag her 80 year old husband off with her. I wonder what happened to him.
