TERROR ALERT WKS. BEFORE COLE ATTACK (Able Danger)
NY Post ^ | 9/17/05 | Niles Lathem

Posted on 09/17/2005 5:59:24 AM PDT by jimbo123

Members of a secret Pentagon intelligence unit known as Able Danger warned top military generals that it had uncovered information of increased al Qaeda "activity" in Aden harbor less than three weeks before the attack on the USS Cole, The Post has learned.

In the latest explosive revelation in the Able Danger saga, two former members of the data-mining team are expected to testify to the Senate Judiciary Committee next week that they uncovered alarming terrorist activity and associations in Aden weeks before the Oct. 12, 2000, suicide bombing of the U.S. warship that killed 17 sailors.

Fox News will, I think.

FoxNews is already moving to the left. You can see it on the Falafel Factor, where the Able Danger people are treated like lepers by the Leprechaun. Rupert Murdoch wants Hillary to win, and he will use his entire apparatus to ensure it, for the sake of his business interests--just as he did when he shocked Britain by electing Tony Blair after decades of support for the Tories.

"I still think that Clinton/Gore wanted this incident to cause people to rally around Gore for the 2000 election, but it didn't break the way they expected."

I believe you are onto something. When you consider what an incompetent, Madam Not-So-Bright was-- for example this.

Madam Albright said she wanted our ships to be friendly toward the locals, the natives, or whatever. She probably had 'The Bounty' in mind.

She refused to ever wear a veil. She insisted on bossing men around directly. Jean Kirkpatrick pointed out that there are certain Islamic men a wise diplomatic female would not treat that way. They gave her a nick-name, "The Ugly Woman".

I could just imagine Clinton sizing her attitude up and thinking, "And Jewish to boot!" And Hillary could have chimed in, "Yeah! A fxxking Jew [whatever]." [We know how she is, don't we?]

Mind you, I think a conservative hardline member of the Jewish faith is just what we need to be Secretary of State: Savage for example. Someone who remembers "an eye for an eye". Someone with SELF-CONTROL and horse sense, who doesn't provoke our ALLIES with petty, personal traits. [So maybe not Savage, but watching him provoke them would be fun.]

Albright was the perfect combination to provoke bin Laden types.

Remember the bombing of the 'Asprin Factory'? [Actually it was an ibuprofen plant.] It happened on Saint Stephen's Feast, a Crusade Holiday. I don't know about other people, but it sure makes me go 'hmmm.'

On the other hand, one time Clinton told someone he wanted US 'ninja troops' to jump down from helicopters to 'scare the 'blank' out of 'em.' So maybe, just maybe, he was a complete idiot when it came to foreign policy/defense.

There is a strong need to maintain the highest security on the SOURCES for all this info - it is beginning to appear that "able danger" is only the code for a multi-sourced report.

It is the sources that is the most classified.

The Leprechaun knows that Hitlery has copies of his phone sex tapes and he's towed her line ever since he paid the hush money to the girl. Now when Hitlery says "Jump!", the Leprechaun says "How High?"

When is Rumsfield going to quit protecting the pencil-pusher generals elevated to levels of incompetence in the Clinton years? Like the CIA, it's time the halls of the pentagon saw some bloodletting.

"FoxNews is already moving to the left. You can see it on the Falafel Factor, where the Able Danger people are treated like lepers by the Leprechaun."

I personally like Sean O'Hannity and believe he'd be an even better president than Tancredo [has fewer enemies, more leadership skill, better debating skill, more name recognition-- more political capitol, and almost an identical view on issues].

But Hannity is too pro-establishment for my taste. He instantly buys anything Big Brother says hook, line, and sinker. My biggest peeve with him is the Ron Brown Crash. He's too knee-jerk on the pro-establishment side.

I think it's not so much Fox moving left. I think it's America moving to the Right. Fox has always been trying to balance itself between both viewpoints. That's why I miss Weyrich's NET: it was a genuine, anti-establishment, conservative news channel, ahead of its time, and completely ruined by backward-thinking Sutton who took over later.

The Post endorsed McCain in the 2000 election. Protection money for the Chairman of the committee that affects their business.

The thing about the Cole bombing that made no sense to me...

If a warship is anchored in an Arab port where terrorism is a possibility (if not a high probability), why would we not have a small speedboat with men assigned to encounter any oncoming craft and inspect/verify its authorization prior to letting it come within 1/4 mile of the Cole?

It just doesn't happen like that. I was in the Navy. We did not allow *anyone* to come up to the ship.

I was very optimistic when Bush tapped Porter Goss, but not informed on the guts of what he's been doing? What's up with that?

"Rupert Murdoch wants Hillary to win"

That is what I am afraid of. I don't like or trust Murdoch at all.
Wouldn't he be the "king maker" of all time, putting h. clintoon in office.
He has pulled the wool over our eyes with his FNC.

Madam Albright's 'Friendly with the Natives' directive. The idea was to welcome native boats, to be good ambassadores. Remember "Mutiny on the Bounty"?

If Clinton/Gore welcomed this attack, as you suggest, then US Ambassador to Yemen Barbara Bodine had a funny way of showing it. She put roadblocks in the way of FBI investigators who arrived in Yemen, leaving some observers to wonder whose side she was on, Al Qaeda or the US Justice Dept.

The question still should be asked of Bodine: what did she know about the attack, and when did she know it?

I'm not sure, but I believe there was a warning issued about two weeks before the Cole attack...based on a tape that was put out by "friends of Usama".

It ain't just Able Danger, it's everywhere.

I did not register to read the article. Perhaps this was covered. But just in case . .

"An analyst at the Pentagon's Defense Intelligence Agency resigned in protest after the attack on the USS Cole because his warnings of pending terrorist acts in the Persian Gulf region went unheeded......(Washington Times, 10/26/00)"

I believe that is the case where his boss, et al. dismissed his warnings as, "Aw, he's just trying to make a former girlfriend in the office look bad."

http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a39f80b472b74.htm

See also, http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=18175

and http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1110088/posts?page=13

reply #14 footnote. To wit, the analyst "had dated a woman who wrote an astounding incorrect analysis the month before the Cole bombing, arguing that terrorists were not capable of conducting a small boat attack on a ship. DIA higher-ups said he pushed his analysis to contradict that of his ex-girlfriend. In reality, Fallis had developed a unique methodology that led him to conclude an al Qaeda attack was imminent."

It ain't just Able Danger, it's everywhere.

Then there's the Clinton State Dept. interfering with the FBI USS Cole bombing investigation which some say could have led to the 9/11 plot.

I heard on Michael Savage that the Pentagon, consisting of Clinton Left Overs and State department RINOS is trying to talk the White House into not allowing the Able danger hearings to be public.
I wanted to post this as headline on the FR message board but, I still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Anyway, I sure hope the GOP does not allow this very important
revelation regarding the travesty of the 9-11 Commission be withheld from the American Voters.

It has been claimed that a DIA counterintelligence analyst named Kie Fallis issued a Yemen warning prior to the Cole incident. His report was knocked-down by, among others, Ambassador to Yemen Barbara Bodine, DIA factotums, and even General Zinni. Is it possible that Fallis was Able Danger?
