From a transcript of a news conference given today by Curt Weldon, he said: The first week the story broke in the New York Times, I was in Pennsylvania that Friday doing district work and I got a call at my office. My chief of staff took the call, and it was from a person I’d never met in my entire life. I’d never mentioned her name. She was on vacation and asked my chief of staff for me to call her back.

Her name was Jamie Gorelick.

Wow. Read the whole thing.

I never said anything about the info being destroyed. I said that it was not shared between DOD and DOJ. In order for any info to be useful to the clintoons, the source of that info would have to be known. The cOmmission says that AD didn't exist, therefore, no info. When we talk about Slick, we must remember what a small, shallow and petty person he truely is. Covering his own a$$ without any thought as to how it could effect anyone else is so much in his character that I can't ignore it.

Just introducing myself to say that I'm paying particular attention to events and comments surrounding Able Danger, and I'll contribute what I can down the road. This coming week is very important, and a big test for Specter.

It would be nice if we could get the MSM in this country to cover it LIVE!!!! They won't, it will be just bits and pieces on the nightly shows maybe...it has made me very angry from the beginning of this Able Danger thing, no one wants to report on it. Curt Weldon has always done excellent work over the years and been ignored by the MSM, it is exacerbating to say the least. I have hoped Kristina would not cover this up but alas it will be the excuse or it is too confusing for the american people ect. I wished they would of held the hearings on Mon. at about 5:00 a.m. Mt. time so those of us that wanted to watch it could instead of waiting for 3:00 a.m. from C-span. Oh well...

Jamie Gorelick was not only deputy attorney general of the United States under Clinton, a position she assumed in March 1994 and held until 1997; but from May 1993 until she joined the Justice Department, Gorelick also served as general counsel of the Department of Defense. These dates are not relevant except possibly to point out that Gorelick was familiar with and worked in the DoD.

Add to the mix, Clinton signing an EO in April on 2000 making Reno the assistant Sec of Defense in charge on domestic affairs. It went into affect in October of 2000.

Now that one has escaped me. Quite interesting.

Things are going to continue leaking out. I just read this from a link to the New York Post On Line: http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/53533.htm

By NILES LATHEM September 17, 2005 -- WASHINGTON — Members of a secret Pentagon intelligence unit known as Able Danger warned top military generals that it had uncovered information of increased al Qaeda "activity" in Aden harbor less than three weeks before the attack on the USS Cole, The Post has learned.

In the latest explosive revelation in the Able Danger saga, two former members of the data-mining team are expected to testify to the Senate Judiciary Committee next week that they uncovered alarming terrorist activity and associations in Aden weeks before the Oct. 12, 2000, suicide bombing of the U.S...

............... I think there is so much that Able Danger knew about in real time that the project had to be closed down to protect to many folks in the Clintoon admininstration from being placed in jail. This crap given that they could not share info about Atta because he was considered an American is ballshi!. It is being shown that was just one little part of a mass of very incriminating evidence showing the lack of leadership during the Clintoon years, not to mention the tie in with the Chicom deals. Perhaps the Atta part will be allowed to continue but a lot of stuff will be keeped under the rugs. We can't have a Federal trial to convict a president of the United States on treason charges. It is not PC in todays world. Though it is the only fitting and proper thing that should be done. Weldon is hoping that more will get exposed leading to finger pointing to the Slick One but I am afraid Specter will not allow that to happen. The Beltway gang do not operate in that mode.

Hmmmm. Reno has assumed control and responsible for implementing the Emergency Response Assistance Program, commonly known as the "Domestic Preparedness Program," to provide civilian personnel of Federal, State, and local agencies with training and expert advice regarding emergency responses to a use or threatened use of a weapon of mass destruction or related materials, and for testing and improving the responses of such agencies to emergencies involving chemical or biological weapons and related materials.

Thanks for the visible proof. I was not questioning your integrity or accuracy, I should have made note of that.
So once again, Albright is under the spot light. It always go back to a core bunch of useless slim balls.

No problem my friend. I got the information from an old thread here at FRee Republic.

I'll see if I can find it for you. There was speculation at the time that it was to cover for something going on.
