Michael Schiavo to Tell His Side of the Story in Book

Michael Schiavo is co-writing a book with author Michael Hirsh to tell his side of the end-of-life case that divided much of the country. Schiavo's wife Terri suffered a brain injury in 1990 that left her in what some doctors called a "persistent vegetative state." She died March 31 after a bitter court battle between her husband and her parents.

Hirsh expects the 280-page book, "Terri: the Truth," to be available just before the first anniversary of Terri's death. Dutton Publishing publicity manager Jean Anne Rose confirmed that the company is publishing the book in March.

Michael Schiavo's decision to remove a feeding tube that kept his brain-damaged wife alive alienated him from her parents, drew a Congressional intervention and even prompted criticism from President Bush.

Hirsh, 62, is a Vietnam veteran and a former Los Angeles television producer who has written three books about the military.

More profit in this for Mr. Schiavo. When does the movie come out?

This guy was instrumental in helping the Big Government advocates create legal precedent for the courts to make medical decisions for us citizens, and now it's time for him to receive his silver.

What an a******

It's simple.....from the very start,he was trying to cash in,somehow,as a result of her death. If she did,as has been reported, die broke, then his efforts failed.

But the proceeds from this book just.....might....change....that.

Here's hoping that she did die broke and that this book sells,say,1000 copies.

There were several FReepers on the Terri Threads who predicted this as likely. Just one more indecency perpetrated on the memory of Terri.

Has he officially married common-law wife #2 yet?

Not surprised in the least that he's trying to make money off his wife's death, his actions betrayed him as a snake from day one.

In other words now he wants to make money off his wife's death.

Good catch. That is exactly what I was thinking. Couldn't tell the story when Terri was alive. No, there is a blood money to be made. What a POS

Words fail me at the callousness of this monster in human form.

I think that a better way to word it is "this monster that somehow learned to walk upright"

It wasn't a story until his in-laws and their supporters made it one. Much like Sheehan?

No surprise there, he puts the word "truth" in the title. Like he was "husband" and as she lay there being dehydrated and starved to death it was "letting her go" and she was "beautiful" and on and on...

As Terri's spouse, wasn't it legally Michael's decision to remove the feeding tube?

Wasn't it the Schindlers who brought the feds into the situation in the first place?

I hope that his book " starves" to death just like he STARVED his wife. NOTHING will ever make that wrong RIGHT no matter how hard he tries.! GOD will have the last word with Michael unless he repents.
