Not only Mississippi. There are many other areas of Louisiana that had damage much worse than New Orleans. For instance, St. Bernard Parish is almost completely destroyed; the people there who were mostly shrimpers and fishermen have nothing left. I also saw a report on TV last on the town of Bogalusa which is a ways north of NO. It's the first time I've heard Bogalusa mentioned; it looked like a war zone.

The racist Bush hater press would have to actually work to cover these small towns and rural areas. Besides, NO gives them a perfect opportunity to bash Bush. Why would they want to report on anything else?

Liberals have found their inner child -- what they need to look for is their inner adult.

Like liberals in the military --- their inner adult is Missing in Action.

Liberals help the poor in exchange for their votes...

But liberals do not help the poor. They buy votes, but the money does not end up helping the poor, only enslaving them further to their new 21st Century Masters.

Some people do not wait until the government gets in to help. They start doing the work needed themselves which is the way it should be. I am very proud of the people in my home state. They have shown what true American spirit is.

And they can also seem to get the busses going...

People in buses aren't a great issue for dems. Dems need bodies to win this one -- and they're wishing for more. Republicans are looking for ways to save people, dems are looking for advantage...

BINGO:

But liberals do not help the poor. They buy votes, but the money does not end up helping the poor, only enslaving them further to their new 21st Century Masters.

Liberals help the poor in exchange for their votes -- and they do it using our tax dollars. In other words, when they're so called "helping" the poor, they're really helping themselves.

Yes. Another example could be tonight. I might be wrong. Maybe the NFL will be pure-hearted tonight during the ABC/ESPN double-header that is supposed to focus on relief-raising.

I just get the feeling that NFL has urged ABC/ESPN to title it "Recover and Rebuild" because by helping the relief effort, the NFL helps itself (retaining a long-term franchise in NOLA).

I'm not saying the NFL is devoid of altruism. Altruistic streaks runs thru the NFL and Democrats alike. The dividing line tonight on ABC/ESPN will be, how much does the NFL focus on rebuilding NOLA? If rebuilding NOLA overshadows other aspects of the hurricane's effects during tonight's coverage, then it provides a clue the NFL is simply helping themselves as much as they help others.

Thanks for the ping!
