I don't think the words exist to express how glad I am to have left California last year.

Good luck and God bless to all of you still there.

Unbelievable. Let's take the rich people's money and spend it on X. What the hell ? THe way couple of these are worded, it's like legalized robbery. One time 47% tax if you lived in CA for the last 5 years and have 40M+ ? What ? Additional 1.7% tax if you made more than 400K ? What the hell ? I certainly don't have/make that kind of money, but this just seems like a proposal to go out and take other people's money just because...

More evidence of how well the present system works. No need to change, right?

Imposes one-time 46% tax on persons with property worth more than $40 million as of January 1, 2006

Better still:a tax which is structured in such a way as to ensure that nobody who votes,or registers,as a democRAT,can have a net worth of more of more than $800,000 or a net annual income of more than $75K per household.

And make it nationwide.

This will allow all over the country to pay their fair share.....for the children.

Imposes one-time 46% tax on persons with property worth more than $40 million as of January 1, 2006, and who were California residents for at least five years as of July 1, 2005. Adds 6% to income tax for high-income taxpayers. Reduces corporate income tax rate by more than half.

I'm sure the Hollyweirdos will embrace this initiative.

I am ever so happy to have escaped from Marin County with my family two years ago. The place just keeps getting nuttier!
