Yeah, why should he be fired? He was doing his job and answered a question to the strictest letter of his religion. If they don't like it, they should hire a Jewish and whatever else religion chaplain. (I myself don't think Jews will necesarily go straight to Hell)I'm SO sick of political correctness.
How about they are all wrong. But God will accept those that are close enough.
His attitude is incredibly uncharitable ~ in fact, it's not consistent with Judaism.
Perhaps the Nationals didn't want to endorse that particular belief. That doesn't marginalize anyones belief.
"when it comes to religion, by definition, one must be right, and all the others must be wrong."
That doesn't mean that they are going to hell or are bad people.
If anything, making a fuss about this feeds a stereotype of Jews as brittle crybabies.
If some clergyman thinks I'm doomed, fine.
Or, alternatively, ALL ARE CORRECT.
How about they are all wrong. But God will accept those that are close enough.
Grrrr... I'm about to break my own request! It's the Mormons. The Mormans are right!

Don't tell me you think Jews are a race?
The belief that all non-Christians are going to hell is understandably discomforting to all non-Christians, and probably to most Christians in this day and age. I don't like it either, and I would tend to avoid close contact, outside work, with people who believe God is like this.
But so what? Do we not have freedom of religion? Why should this guy be fired or chastised for honestly expressing his religious belief when asked? It's not like he's gone around and told everyone on the team that Jews are damned, is it?
Interesting that the supposed representatives of a group that has suffered tremendous religious persecution should engage in the same persecution themselves. It is they, not Moeller, who are unwilling to live in a diverse society where people feel free to be who they are. I have no sympathy for them, given that they're adults and not 10-year-olds.
No, some of us will pass "Go" and collect $200 on our way there.
:-)
Freepers support the military. Conservatives are por-life, liberals are pro-choise. Same thing.
My guess he was hired to leas a non-denominational prayer. He should have exercised better judgement.

There's more than a little self-hatred in that comment. I think you should learn more about jewish history/religion.
No one is saying that another ethnic group is going to hell (there are many Jews who believe in Christ), but most Christians believe that non-believers go to hell (or at least don't go to heaven). If a team's going to hire a Christian chaplain, they shouldn't be surprized that he believes this. If they don't like this, then they don't need to hire a Christian chaplain. And if the team doesn't want to be directly connected to this, perhaps the Christian players themselves could arrange for the chaplain.
He knew he should say SOME, but he didn't.
Give the rabbi credit for being a smart guy for once!
"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me".
So there you have it.
Jesus Christ: Either Liar, Lunatic, or LORD.
Pray for wisdom, research the matter, and choose wisely...
Deut 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
We will choose to serve the one who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Praise the LORD!
That's logically impossible, since most religions and religious leaders (including Jesus and the Apostles) clearly state that they are the only way.
