Ask the rabbis if Jesus was the messiah. If they shake their heads no, are they introducing hate into the locker room?

Concerning: "Another Jewish leader, Rabbi Ethan Seidel of the Tifereth Israel synagogue, said, "Yeah, no one likes to be told they're going to hell, but Christians have been saying that for thousands of years."" we are forced to note that SOME, not ALL, and as a rule Christians do not, in fact, live for thousands of years.
Nothing like expressing your own bigotry and ignorance while criticizing that of the other guy.

In Washington DC you are allowed to say "Bush eats Babies" but you are not allowed to nod it recognition of your religious beliefs.

What's the big deal? I'm Jewish, and I know that according to many Christians, I'll be heading straight to hell when I die. I happen to disagree. But that doesn't and shouldn't invalidate someone else's beliefs.
For some reason, many people seem to want to marginalize the beliefs of others. They don't seem to realize that when it comes to religion, be definition, one must be right, and all the others must be wrong. Please, let's leave the South Park references out of this! lol. And they don't seem to think that people are actually serious about their religion and beliefs.

As a Jew myself....
This is Outrageous...What...He nodded his head...!!!!
I shutter to think what we would do if Muslims, Arabs etc. spew this kind of hatred...

FWIW, as a Jew and a baseball fan, I don't find this incident in the least bit offensive.
If anything, making a fuss about this feeds a stereotype of Jews as brittle crybabies.
If some clergyman thinks I'm doomed, fine.

John 14:6 Jesus said:
"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me".
So there you have it.
Jesus Christ: Either Liar, Lunatic, or LORD.
Pray for wisdom, research the matter, and choose wisely...
Deut 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
We will choose to serve the one who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Praise the LORD!

An article published Sunday in The Washington Post described outfielder Ryan Church asking Moeller if Jews are "doomed" because they do not believe in Jesus to which Moeller reportedly nodded. He was asked a question and he gave his opinion.
And the problem is...?

The scriptures plainly teach in the new testament the fact that Jesus Christ IS MESSIAH and that his atoning death and resurrection requires this belief and that there in no other name given under heaven through which salvation must come. The Chaplain was not guilty of anything since men everywhere, including the Jew, must be saved by grace through faith in Lord Jesus sacrificial death and resurrection for our salvation.
It is not hate to say what God says is true. I would say that the hate crime here is commited against the Christian Chaplain.

Moeller [was asked] if Jews are "doomed" because they do not believe in Jesus to which Moeller reportedly nodded.Moeller said nothing about "hell."
Imo, he was set up on minimal charges -- afterall most folks know Christians believe Christ is THE way to heaven.
That being said, God will do the judging -- NONE of us knows who may or not be invited to their Father's House.

Glad to see someone stand up for their Christian beliefs and tell the truth.
So what he lost his job!
But I think the ballplayer goaded him into affirming that. What else is a genuine Christian supposed to say?
Anything other than the truth that is spelled out in the bible waters down their belief.
So he had no choice but to affirm that.
Sorry, if other religions do not like that, but that is the way it is.

It would be interesting if his replacement was asked the same question, what would his answer be? This is a Chritian ministry, Baseball Dhapel, we are talking about.
Come on, Ryan Church, ask this question again.

There is nothing hateful or racist about the answer he gave to a specific question.
He simply stated what he believed. It was the player who made Jews the subject of the question.
I wonder what his agenda was?
A true Christian if he knows his Bible will tell you that all who have not placed their trust in Jesus Christ and asked Him to save them are going to hell.
It's not confined to any particular group or race of people.
Salvation is obtained on an individual basis.
Besides a true Christian would not tell a person he was going to hell out of hate for him.
He would tell him or her out of love and concern for them.

Personally, as a Jew, I think it's funny that these Gentiles made a version of our people's religion and are telling us we're going to hell.
That takes alot of Chutzpah. Personally I ignore it.

"Yeah, no one likes to be told they're going to hell, but Christians have been saying that for thousands of years."
Different Christian sects have been telling each other that over the last two millenia.
But what it all boils down to is nobody knows what God is going to do. The ultimate choice is up to Him, and I doubt if God will condemn someone who is not a Christian who leads an otherwise good and decent life.
