Flightplan attempts left wing landing - (Spoiler Alert!)
The Movie Spoiler ^

Posted on 09/21/2005 11:40:11 AM PDT by frogjerk

The movie begins with Jodi Foster (Kyle) in a morgue. You don't see who is in the casket she is approaching. The director asks if she'd like a few minutes alone. Kyle asks if "she has to". The director informs her that a code is required for international flights (he means a keycode to lock the coffin, but this is explained later). While she is approaching the casket, the scene flashes back to Kyle and her husband, David (uncredited), walking home in Berlin. When they get home, she asks her husband to sit in the courtyard for just a minute, even though there is snow on the ground. As David wipes the snow off the bench, birds scatter and Kyle looks up. Then, it flashes back to the morgue and we see David's body in the coffin and realize that the flashback was just imagination. The director says he was sorry but with the head trauma from the fall, they did the best they could do with making the body look presentable. The scene ends with Kyle looking at the untouched snow on the bench.

HOLLYWOOD: "Muslims are peaceful people. That is why we have to create total fantasy to forward our belief..."

The leftwing moonbats are at it again. This time Hollywood is trying to tell us to look at ourselves and see that it is we that are evil (Especially Air Marshalls), not the Arab terrorists. This is as offensive as Will Smith coming on stage with Muhammad Ali preaching to us to be nice to Muslims after 9/11.

Please save your money and do not contribute to the Anti-American leftists...

I'm sure they will claim they were just trying a plot twist to throw us off...but their agenda is well known - "America is evil".

Sounds deserving of catastrophic high altitude decompression.

What a great web site for a person like me, who likes to know what happens in movies without actually having to sit through them!

Hollywood is having a terrible year at the box office. The low revenue numbers will continue. They have ticked off about 50% of their potential movie attendees with their liberal, left-wing, America hating BS. The revenue shortfall will continue, and get worse.

I haven't gone to a movie or rented a movie (other than Mel Gibsons "Passion"), since before President Bush was elected.

Hollyweird has lost a bunch of my dollars. I used to be an avid movie going, money spending customer. I gave it up because of their Liberal, anti-American, putrid actions.

Thanks forgjerk, what a great link. I figured with all the hype that this picture had some sort of slant. Won't watch or buy DVD. Darn it, I love action/suspense too!

Sorry folks, but sometimes, I dont agree that the leftwing bias is there in some movies that are vilified here on FR. This sounds like an interesting plot device, it could be a subtle jab agains the WOT, then again, maybe its no big deal. I can't trust what some sensitized conservative has written. I guess I'll have to see it for myself. Actually, I probably wont see it anyways, I am just not into movies that much the past few years...

This sounds like another crappy movie from Hollywood.

Hollywood better get back to making pictures that people want to see or they're going to have to actually begin working for a living.

I didn't write the spoiler nor do I know if the writer is a conservative. I'm just looking at the denouement:

Kyle is walking off the plane with Julia in her arms and is vindicated in the eyes of the passengers and the crew. As she is getting in a van, the Arab picks up Kyle's purse and hands it to her. The two exchange "I'm sorry" glances.

BARF!

I gave up on them a while ago - I still enjoy anime, tho the politics in these movies is weird to say the least.

After reading the plot synopsis, it just sounds STUPID.

Foster's character is named Kyle? Whatever happened to Mary, Kate, Jane, etc????

The last time I went to see a movie was 1991.

I will not spend my hard earned $$$$ on crap.
