Bette Midler struck one of the few sour notes at last night's Madison Square Garden benefit for Hurricane Katrina victims when she made a joke about President Bush.

"I know George Bush. . . . I met him in the 1970s through his coke dealer," she said.

The crowd booed the not-so-divine Ms. M for the quip.

I really don't understand why these so-called 'celebrities' think they are so intelligent. They sound totally insecure and idiotic! But they are truly too stupid to realize it.

Why should we be surprised? The stars run with the socialist crowd all the time. Anytime they get out in public and talk they are bound to say the same thing they say inside their little pinko cliques. BTW, I wonder who is selling to Bette these days. You know what really amazes me about all of this, is that with as much as the media tries to inflate the nation's sour opinion of Bush, anytime one of these liberal wackos insults him in public, its the American public that always booes them off the stage.

"Ethnic Cleansing in New Orleans." is a myth, but to lay claim to it is politically correct.

Where were these celebs when Clinton's own brother admitted on an FBI sting tape that Billy had a "nose like a vacuum?" For a month the media hounded Bush based on the claims of some discredited author, while they completely ignored Clinton, his failure to produce medical records, his affiliation with Jose Cabrera (in a WH picture) and his pardons of other convicted coke-heads. Even when Gennifer Flowers confirmed Clinton's habit, the media refused to even ask him about it.

I was also disturbed when Bette pointed out one of the Neville brothers in the audience who was wearing a t-shirt with something like "ethnic cleansing in New Orleans" printed on it. These people are so juvenile and immature that they can't even see how silly they look.
