Kanye West rushes the stage while Taylor Swift was thanking people for her award for “Best Female Video”. He says “I’ll let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos ever.” The audience started booing Kanye. Boo! That has got to be one of the most disrespectful acts I have ever seen on live TV. What a disgrace Kanye. Boo! Boo! Boo! Although: I bet Kanye West does the Single Ladies dance at home and couldn’t stand the idea that Beyonce lost. Watch the video by clicking above link.

Politics: The senator who called the president a liar and never apologized may have worn out his welcome in his home state. Harry Reid may be riding the liberal agenda into political oblivion. In 2004, Republicans defeated Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle largely on the theme that he neglected his home state in favor of national party interests. The GOP is hoping that in 2010 lightning will strike a second time, and Nevada polls indicate it may be more than wishful thinking. In 1998, Reid beat John Ensign by a hair-thin 428 votes. Ensign would go on to win Nevada's other...

TED KOPPEL (ABC host): When the president talked about the bankruptcy of Social Security, there were clearly some Democrats on the floor who thought that that was taking it too far. And they did something that, apparently, no one at this table has ever heard before. They booed. [ABC, Nightline, 2/2/05; Koppel's panel consisted of former Bush adviser Mary Matalin, former Reagan chief of staff Ken Duberstein, and former Clinton speechwriter Michael Waldman] JOHN ROBERTS (CBS White House correspondent): At a couple points in this address, it looked more like the British Parliament than the United States Congress. I've never...

Madonna Booed During Romanian Concert Over Gypsy Remark August 28, 2009 7:13 a.m. EST Anne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer Bucharest, Romania (CNS) - Madonna's stance on equality was not warmly received in Romania. The pop superstar was booed during a concert after she mentioned discrimination of gypsies and homosexuals in the country. She told the "Sticky and Sweet" concert crowd in Bucharest, "I've never been to Romania before and I am happy to be here." "But I found out that there is a lot of discrimination against gypsies in Eastern Europe and that makes me very sad,...
-
BUCHAREST, Romania - At first, fans politely applauded the Roma performers sharing a stage with Madonna. Then the pop star condemned widespread discrimination against Roma, or Gypsies — and the cheers gave way to jeers. The sharp mood change that swept the crowd of 60,000, who had packed a park for Wednesday night's concert, underscores how prejudice against Gypsies remains deeply entrenched across Eastern Europe. Despite long-standing efforts to stamp out rampant bias, human rights advocates say Roma probably suffer more humiliation and endure more discrimination than any other people group on the continent. Sometimes, it can be deadly: In...

Here is video of former Gov. Howard Dean appearing at a Town Hall Meeting in Virginia with Democrat Rep. Jim Moran. The meeting was chaotic and tumultuous as Dean was booed and jeered from the start. He and Moran sparred back and forth with the crowd. Moran actually said that "Medicare is not actually in the red." . . . . (Watch Video)

Does Barack Obama, the duly elected president of the United States, respect the Constitution? For many of Obama's critics, the answer is a resounding "No!" What evidence do the holders of this opinion put forth to defend it? Some argue the president has not provided a valid birth certificate. Others believe that he is overstepping the framers' intent by attempting to set up a government-funded health care plan. For many more, it's just a nagging suspicion born of cable television punditry and common sense. Witness footage from earlier Tuesday when Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Obama's former presidential rival, addressed a...

One audience member asked the former Presidential contender if President Obama didn't realize that some of the changes he's calling for goes against the Constitution. Sen. McCain responded that he's sure the president respects the Constitution. Some town hall attendees booed the senator's response. McCain added tried to hush the boos, reminding the room that the president of the United States is owed respect. "I'm sure that he respects the Constitution of the United States. I really do. I'm absolutely convinced of it," Sen. McCain said.

The Valley focused on health care reform as Sen. John McCain and two fellow Republican members of Congress held town hall meetings Tuesday. Hundreds of seniors packed the Grace Bible Church in Sun City, with dozens of others turned away at the door and dozens others watching the town hall in an overflow room. McCain stated his case at the start. "We want affordable and available health care for all Americans. What we cannot -- and must not -- do is the, quote, public option, which really is the government option," McCain told the crowd. Plans under discussion do not...

Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.) fired back Tuesday at a raucous town hall audience that booed and jeered him for more than an hour. Specter immediately tried to temper the rough crowd, which started booing him before the question-and-answer session even began, with the blunt warning: “If you want to stay in here, we’re not going to tolerate any demonstrations or booing. So, it’s up to you." But minutes later during the senator’s response to a question on whether Americans would be able to maintain their private insurance under the Democratic health care proposal, a protester who was not selected to...

Sen. Ben Cardin had to shout his way through a town hall meeting Monday evening, where angry constituents booed and jeered as the Democratic senator from Maryland tried to explain health care reform working its way through Congress. Cardin was booed and jeered repeatedly throughout his 25-minute presentation and the question-and-answer period. [Snip] Cardin said how to pay for the bill has not yet been worked out, a comment that prompted even more derision from the audience. Some shouted, "Taxes!" and others shouted, "Spend, Ben, spend!" Didn’t help his cause bad mouthing Glen Beck either on false accusations CONGRESSMAN’S ATTEMPT TO SPIN SUPPORT FOR GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE GETS HIM ‘BARRETTED’ South Carolina’s wackiest member of Congress got a harsh wake-up call Thursday night at a town hall meeting in which he unsuccessfully tried to spin a plan to turn private health care into a massive, government-run, bureaucratic nightmare. At the meeting, held in Boiling Springs, 4th District Rep. Bob Inglis desperately pleaded with his constituents to see things his way and consider President Obama’s trillion-dollar proposal that would tax the uninsured, cut or destroy Medicare, and...

David Beckham received a rude welcome from disgruntled Galaxy fans in his return to Los Angeles, confronting one who leapt out of the stands at halftime of Galaxy's friendly against AC Milan. The English star, who missed the first half of the Major League Soccer season while on loan to AC Milan, was booed roundly during introductions, and again on his first several touches of the ball. Some of those who were angered by Beckham's stated desire to remain in Italy, and his belated return to his US club, made their feelings felt with banners and gestures such as holding...

Barack Obama Booed at the All-Star Game in St. Louis On Tuesday! And, he threw a sissy pitch: It's going to be a rough 4 years. He's only been in office 5 months and he's already getting booed. ...And protested.
-
The more debatable point from the historic moment was the reception the President was afforded by the self-described "best fans in baseball." Though Obama was roundly cheered by the All-Star fans, his live presence still didn't attract the applause that George W. Bush did during a taped announcement by the four previous Presidents before the game and some boos could even be heard among the cheers.
-
We thought St. Louis liked Barack Obama, but the audio tells a different tale. Much different. We're not sure what the unemployment rate is in the city (it is 9.7% nationally), but from the sounds of things, it might be relatively higher in Missouri than in other parts of the USA. What makes this reaction so shocking is that St. Louis was one of the crucial urban centers which Obama carried in 2008 that enabled him to closely contest the state of Missouri against John McCain. Obama won only about five counties in the entire state, but one was St....

Sorry for the vanity. Numerous people have been posting at various sites that they have heard from people at the game that there was a loud chorus of boos for 0bama. (AKA Lamar, the limp wristed javeline thrower from Revenge of the Nerds). There may have been an effort to either pipe in cheers over the public address system, edit out some of the boos or both. Anyone else getting this?

"You're the problem!" one crowd member hollered. "You voted for TARP," yelled another. Boos interrupted Cornyn, who won his second term last year, after he said: "This is a day of celebration, the day we celebrate our Founders, who defied empires and declared their independence."

To summarize baseball legend Reggie Jackson: nobody boos a nobody. That is definitely true in the case of Governor Sarah Palin. I don’t think I am going out on a limb here when I speculate that individuals who repeatedly attack her anonymously view her as a threat. And that includes members of the media hell-bent tearing down young Republican up-and-comers as well as some in Governor Palin’s own party — a party desperately in need of redefining — who are motivated, for whatever reason, to try and crush their rivals. The most recent and grossly unfair attack came from Vanity...

Health Care: President Obama talked a lot about cutting medical costs during his 7,300-word speech to doctors Monday. But he rejected the only item he brought up that would actually cut medical costs.Though he acknowledged that part of the high cost of health care is due to defensive medicine — doctors ordering more tests and treatments than necessary in an effort to avoid being sued — he told the American Medical Association that he is "not advocating caps on malpractice awards." "I personally believe (they) can be unfair to people who've been wrongfully harmed," he said. Obama, who took some...

President Obama says he will not place caps malpractice awards: "Now, I recognize that it will be hard to make some of these changes if doctors feel like they're constantly looking over their shoulders for fear of lawsuits. I recognize that. (Applause.) Don't get too excited yet. Now, I understand some doctors may feel the need to order more tests and treatments to avoid being legally vulnerable. That's a real issue. (Applause.) Now, just hold on to your horses here, guys. (Laughter.) I want to be honest with you. I'm not advocating caps on malpractice awards -- (boos from some...

Barack Obama isn't used to hearing boos. For all the young president's popularity, the response he got Monday from doctors at an American Medical Association meeting was a sign his road is only going to get rockier as he tries to sell his plan to overhaul the nation's health care system. The boos erupted when Obama told the doctors in Chicago he wouldn't try to help them win their top legislative priority—limits on jury damages in medical malpractice cases. But what could they expect? If Obama announced support for malpractice limits, that would set trial lawyers and unions—major supporters of...

Our interview, part of a speaker series organized by the American Jewish University on April 27, included a dinner and post-event cocktail “meet and greet.” Maybe I was naďve, but after chatting with the guests, I assumed the audience would be pretty evenly split politically. But on that stage, in front of about 2,500 people, I felt like the visiting team shooting free throws at a crucial moment in the game. I was booed, hissed, and heckled while Ashcroft and Gonzales were regularly applauded.

Listened to the Boston Bruins at Montreal Canadiens game tonight on WBZ radio; as Rene Rancourt (I believe) started to sing the Star Spangled Banner, a huge chorus of boos could be heard during the song. At the start of Oh Canada there was a cheer, but no disrespect. I know of the long rivalry between the two teams. But how rude to boo the U.S. national anthem--why, you'd think the folks up North wouldn't do that anymore--since we have The One in office. Heck, I can't see us booing Oh Canada during a Bruins-Canadiens game at TD BankNorth Garden,...

Emphasis on mercilessly, especially when he says, “I have devoted my life to the conservative cause.” The Palmetto Scoop caught it all, and no wonder: Barrett’s been eating crap from South Carolinians for his TARP vote for months so everyone knew what was coming here, right down to the guy screaming “Go home!” for the full six-minute duration. Believe it or not, according to CNN, Barrett’s planning to run for governor next year. Don’t get your hopes up, Gresh. Normally the sight of a Republican being booed off a stage would be instant “Daily Show” material, but Stewart’s naturally got...

I reported in my column this week the news the Tea Party-bashing MSM doesn’t want to report: Republicans who supported the bailouts, the stimulus, and tax increases are in just as much hot water as Democrats. I told you that California GOP chairman Ron Nehring and GOP Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger were booed in Sacramento and GOP Gov. Jon Huntsman was booed in Utah. Now, see this. At the Greenville SC Tea Party last night, via Palmetto Scoop, an estimated 3,000 people booed and heckled GOP Rep. Gresham Barrett, who supported both the trillion-dollar TARP and now supports the trillion-dollar porkulus...

Wow, I just saw on Sportscenter some video of Biden throwing out the first pitch of the Orioles/Yankees game, and I am here to tell you the booing was thunderous. They showed pictures of fans in the stands, and they were not happy at all. The announcer even commented that they don't usually boo like that in Baltimore. I wonder if this is a bit of a barometer of the current feelings of apple pie and baseball Americans?

Here is video of Tucker Carlson getting booed at CPAC today for actually trying to say that the New York Times is a paper that cares about "accuracy," about getting things right! Carlson was trying to make the case that conservative publications must be focused on accuracy, and used the New York Times as an example. Carlson is right that conservatives should care about accuracy. But what planet has he been living on to use the New York Times (Slimes) as an example for us?!!!! . . . . (Watch Video)

Sen. Specter Jeered For Voting For Stimulus Plan PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter was greeted with jeers at a press conference in Cranberry Township. Conservatives are fuming after Specter cast the deciding vote that led to the passage of President Barack Obama's stimulus plan. Specter, 79, acknowledges his run for re-election will be tough. He says he's not completely happy with Obama's plans but he points out that he was able to cut the price tag by over $100 billion and he says he was able to increase the amount of tax cuts. Even so, Specter acknowledges the...

John McCain might be fan favorite during Phoenix Suns games, but Arizona’s senior senator sure didn’t receive a warm hometown welcome Sunday night in front a national crowd at US Airways Center. McCain, who’s held his seat in Arizona for 22 years, was greeted with a smattering of boos and hisses when introduced with wife, Cindy, during a break between the first and second quarter of the NBA All-Star game Sunday night. His presidential opponent Barack Obama was greeted more cordially after a short speech that aired during halftime on the stadium’s monitors and big screens.

February 16, 2009 BMW to cut 850 jobs at Oxford Mini plant Marcus Leroux and Jenny Booth BMW, the German vehicle maker, today announced plans to lay off 850 weekend agency staff at its Mini factory in Cowley, near Oxford, as the slowdown in demand for cars worsens. Agency workers leaving Cowley this morning expressed their anger at being given just one hour’s notice of losing their job. The company made the announcements just as the staff affected were finishing their shift. "It’s a disgrace. I feel as though I’ve been used. We should have been given one month’s notice,...

Tuesday was the rarest of days in Washington: partisan wrangling was mainly put aside as America swore into office its first black president, and for one brief moment of hope and optimism, Capitol Hill residents, black and white, handed out hot chocolate to shivering passers-by, who were, at least on this one day, just like them -- Americans. But the camaraderie and good will did not extend to the men who would soon add "former" to their once lofty titles, and there remained a bubbling discontent just under the surface. Obama supporters mocked former Vice President Dick Cheney with derisive...

Bush Mocked As He Arrives on Inauguration Dais @ 11:52 am by Hill Staff The crowd packed on the west side of the Capitol grounds serenaded President Bush in mocking fashion when he took to the inaugural stage alongside Vice President Dick Cheney. The crowd packed immediately below the podium received Bush in stony silence when he took his seat on the stage surrounding the podium where Barack Obama was scheduled to take the oath office to become the 44th president of the United States. A roomful of academics erupted in angry boos Tuesday morning after political analyst Michael Barone said journalists trashed Alaska Gov.
