They're just jealous.
It reminds me of grammer school. All the underachievers and slackers were always jealous of the straight A students. The only time these students would apply themselves were during name calling and bullying sessions. I've run into some of those individuals in recent years. Not much has changed. They're STILL in "school".
So, smoking pot is "wrong" because it's illegal? So what? There is nothing immoral about smoking pot.
How about instead comparing populations who wish they were all dead? I think Canada is way ahead on that one.
Like as I do America? Love England for their loyalty and love in most cases, but nothing else is as good as America, is it?
If they laid off the drug lusts it would help them get over some of their problems IMO.
Why should they give up? It is the best way they can expand their powers and little kingdoms and steal your rights that they have ever come up with!
You know I was a drug user and a alcoholic for almost twenty five years and all that i can say that drugs abuse in general including smoking weed is not good for anybody's mental or physical well being.
The crap caused me no end of misery in the end.
I am almost fifty years old and i have been on the wagon for almost ten years.
I went to a liver specialist after the man told me if i did not quit using i would have liver problems.
Smoking weed is not harmless because if you smoke enough of that crap you will have bats in your belfry and it will have you thinking and acting out perverted things.
A person like that would really need god in their lives and they should beg for god's wisdom and providence.
There is nothing good that comes from drug abuse.

Which is the bigger evil? Someone smoking pot or the some policeman taking a person's money just because a cop THINKS that it might be somehow linked to the sale of pot?

You assume too much. It is wrong because it is a mind altering drug. An illicit drugs validity should not be measured by it's effects on the user.
