WHERE IS SHEILA JACKSON LEE?? IS SHE HELPING OUT IN HOUSTON?
Posted on 09/23/2005 6:21:14 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

Sheila Jackson Lee, from Houston, is the congresswoman who thought our astronauts had landed on Mars. Does anyone know if she is helping the evacuees or doing anything for the people of Houston? I hope she is...just wondering.

She just heard that there is planetary warming on Mars and is busy blaming it on Bush for sending astronauts there.

I believe she is with Calypso Louie in the mothership protecting the Galveston sea wall from being blown up by the white devils who are trying to kill the black fruits of Islam.

Yes. She was on a space subcommittee. At a news conference a few years ago, they were discussing a Mars rover. She talked about the flag our astronauts had planted on Mars. Idiot is too kind a term for Sheila.

Inded she did. When discussing a mars probe with NASA (as I recall), she asked if it would be able to see the flag that the astronauts placed there.
She's a marsbat, not a moonbat.

"The Congressional bonehead award goes to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) who, on a visit to JPL, asked if Mars Pathfinder had taken an image of the flag planted there in 1969 by Neil Armstrong! Quipped Rep. Vernon Ehlers (R-MI) to the Washington Times: "We just don't teach enough science." Worse, Jackson Lee, who represents Houston, is a member of the House Science Committee's space subcommittee. Perhaps some committee reassignments are in order..."

Perhaps conscious of Houston's preference for homegrown politicians, Lee plays down the fact that she was born in the Jamaica section of Queens, and that her grandparents on her father's side are Jamaican immigrants. In fact, when she first ran for office, the candidate profile submitted to the Houston Chronicle listed her birthplace as Houston.

Is she still violating House rules by getting limo rides back and forth from her apartment to the Capitol, which is just one block away?
By the way, found this at the following link: blog.Houston.net
"Like clockwork
Guess what useless D.C. politician is posing for photos at the morning press conference of our can-do hurricane-management leaders Mayor White and Judge Eckels?
Yes, that would be Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee.
One wonders what took her so long, although perhaps she waited until the first day that national media was likely to pick up the press conferences of our local hurricane management team.
The contrast between our local can-do political leadership and the Queen making her usual mad dash for the camera couldn't be greater."

All racial groups should be represented, said Rep. Lee
Of all things to be "offended" over.....this woman is so dumb. What the heck difference does it make what a storm is named. Frankly, I would prefer more blacks be named good ole American names, where did "African-American" names come from anyway? Personally, I like unusual names, but I worry that people who are biased (especially businesses) may judge people with "African-American" names because of their names.
To: SoFloFreeper
She's on with the Houston mayor now!
To: Baynative
Rep. Lee, adding that she hoped that the weather establishment in future would try to be inclusive of African American names such as Keisha, Jamal and Deshawn. Since the NWB seems to be running out of names for storms, maybe this isn't a bad idea.
When you just make up funny-sounding names out of nowhere, you have a virtually endless number of names to use, after all.

And you know if they had given the hurricanes African-American names, they would whine about the fact that it is racist to name Hurricans after African-Americans, as if African-Americans were responsible.
I suggest if they want to use African names for Hurricanes, start with Amin, Mugabe, Mobotu or Bokassa.
