Here is yet another case of savage butchery committed against a woman for offending the honor of a man. From the New Brisbane's News:
MULTAN, Pakistan - A Pakistani man cut off the nose and lips of his 19-year-old sister-in-law after she went to court for a divorce in a tribal area of the central province of Punjab, police said on Thursday. Abbas then attacked the girl, hacking off her nose and slicing off her lips.
A doctor treating the girl said her nose had been cut off from the bridge and her lips partially severed.
Numerous cases have also been reported of women being disfigured as punishment for offending a man‘s honour.
Shaista Bukhari, coordinator of a women‘s rights group in Multan, said that until courts handed down death sentences for such crimes, violence against women would continue.
Sub Inspector Shafiq said the girl‘s attacker, once caught, would be tried in a anti-terrorist court, which are meant to deliver justice rapidly.

Just about the time I start getting real critical or down about the way things are going here in the US, I read a story like this and THANK GOD (literally) that I was soooo blessed to live such a safe, comfortable life in a rich country like this. And I wonder, "Why me?" When I'm tempeted to complain that "Life's not fair", I remember where I live and what I have and think, "Yeah, life's not fair cause I have it so good and most people don't. That's not fair either." I don't deserve this more than anyone else, I'm just fortunate to have it.

Many years ago I saw photos of Algerians who had their nose and lips cut off by Algerian rebels during the revolt against the French.

There is a movement in Islam finally...
Women realize they have the children and that these men (whether imams or mullahs), were born of women.
The women are finally rising up, do not fear... while they think they can tell Allah what to do and that hurricanes are their sisters... their own women are saying it's enough. This is happening before their own eyes.
Maybe the women should start watching 'The Burning Bed' or 'The Elena Bobbitt Story' in Arabic... then we'll see a change.
