ALTHOUGH I think Mayor Bloomberg has been good for New York City and should be re-elected, the recent Quinnipiac poll suggests that Fernando Ferrer has an excellent chance of winning. On the surface, the survey seems to indicate the opposite it shows the mayor beating the Democratic challenger by 52 percent to 38 percent, a comfortable 14-point margin. But a close reading of the survey shows the opposite that Bloomberg may be in trouble.
Most undecided voters usually go for the challenger and against the incumbent. So the mayor's 52-38 lead is really likely showing a much...

Earth to Little Dick: " In this instance, the minority voters who are saying they are'undecided', are more likely either embarrassed Bloomberg voters or not planning to vote at all. Thirty one percent of the Hispanic vote is NOT that large, Little Dick. It is NOT an unreachable number considering that Mike Bloomberg is carrying a 61% approval rating into the race. Where did these people come from? There just aren't that many people on Staten Island to get a number like that. That number represents lots of Blacks and Hispanics. Finally, because of the undertow of friction between Blacks and Hispanics in the political arena, Black votes will off set anything below the already low threshold of 31% which you seem to think is so high. Go back to sleep Little Dick. See if Sean will put you on and ask you some softball questions. That will make you feel better."

Undecideds usually break around 60-40 for the challenger, far less than what is needed to make up the defecit.

I wish Bloomberg would lose. He has been distancing himself so far from Bush that by stabbing him in the back. I hope he loses big.

MR.Toes needs to understand that Republicans could care less who runs NYC...nobody with a registered Republican voter ID should ever consider voting this moron in again.

Bloomberg is a pathetic little weasel and an imposter.
He's no more of a Republican than the man in the moon. He's a totally liberal anti-gun, worse than RINO Democrat who merely registered as a Republican in order to run in the election for Mayor of New York. His presence there is in no way a positive for the Republican Party nationally, and I sincerely hope a genuine Democrap flushes out this counterfit Republican - Democrat in the next election for mayor of New York.
Perhaps a few years os mismanagement by Mr. Ferrar will drive the voters there to elect a REAL Republican - but, based on past history - I doubt it.
At anmy rate, a Ferrar victory will prevent that duplicitous little weasel Bloomberg from presenting himself any longer as a Republican Mayor.

unless Ferrer can light the fuse on some racial issue (even if he has to invent one) - he cannot win.

not at all. Bloomberg has been very good on fiscal issues - all departments had 10% across the board budget cuts after 9-11. I wish our republican congress could manage that.

I bet he would love to try...

I live in NYC and I hope he loses too.
I am furious with him for coming out against John Roberts.
I will not vote for him. I will probably vote for Tom Ognibene.

Bloomberg must be a shoo-in now.

Coming out against Roberts was unnecessary, but the truth is that Bloomin' Idiot lost my vote months ago when he turned Central Park over to Grifter Cristo ...
Seriously, Tom Ognibene is a much better choice.

Golly gee fellas I wish I was a super conservative. If I was I won't have to think so much. I would just keep pounding my face against a wall and patting myself on the back. You people who "wish Bloomberg would lose" don't live in NYC or if you do you haven't looked out the window lately. Point: Bloomberg HAD to come out against Roberts to steal some of the stupid upper Westside liberals who need to hear that crap to pull the Republican line. And even if he believes it, so what. The big hero of the "conservative" Republicans is Rudy and he is PRO PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION AND GAY MARRIAGE Bloomberg has NEVER come out FOR PBA! Point: Whether any of you political sages out there realize this, on a scale of 1 to 100, with Jesse Helms at 100, of course Bloomberg is about a 10. But there IS NO DEMOCRAT IN NYC THAT WOULD EVEN REGISTER on that scale. One of the morons that was running actually thought she could score points by saying "Yes Police Commissioner Kelly is doing a good job but that's not enough reason to keep him n office."
Point: The psychological effect of the ass kicking Bloomberg will give Ferrer will be felt throughout ratdom. It will hurt the beast, not a lot but everything helps.
\Point: It was Bloomberg who did everything right after 911 ( You great conservative across the country remember that one don't you?) it was Bloomberg who pulled us back from a SIX BILLION DOLLAR HOLE!!!!!!! Would you want a Democrat in charge of fixing a 6 billion dollar hole? All of us who work for a living would have been taxed to death by an Economics ignorant rat.
Finally I saw someone mention Ognibene? Ever meet the guy? I have. Dude you DON'T want him as your mayor.

questions to Bloomberg about Roberts are a trap - his opinion means nothing on this matter, why should be step into it?
To: eastsider
that was a wildly popular display in central park.
To: jmaroneps37
I live on the border of the Bronx. No matter how bad some dislike Bloomberg, Ferrer would be a disaster od Dinkins like proportions.
