I am sorry you feel that the Judge who took Under God from 3 schools in California is none of our business since it only affects these 3 schools.
Wrong call. If it was the parents who wanted "under God" out, that would be one thing. This wasn't a local decision.
OTOH the judge was saying that "Under God" is a violation of freedom of religion -- an individual right.... Now I disagree with the decision -- I don't think it's a violation of individual rights -- but if it is ....well, that's another thread....
The main point, if the judge overstepped his bounds, it is our business... For that matter, if a school violates individual rights, it is our business. Curriculum questions -- with a few wild exceptions -- are only our business to observe.
Okay...no gloating....some of us still have to live here.
TTF is deliberately mispresenting CRC's real position (you have to read to the last line of the article):
"CRC has never said that homosexuality is a mental disorder. We firmly believe that it is a choice,"
I guess the discussion about ex-gays is why this guy was there:
"There is probably a genetic influence. We're not sure what it is. You probably inherit some predisposition to" homosexuality, Dr. Wertsch said.
Probably, huh? IOW, he doesn't know for sure.
Born or Bred? Science Does Not Support the Claim That Homosexuality Is Genetic
