Very funny guy who I loved watching when I was a kid.
Like so many of his generation, I never would have guessed the things they did to give us our freedom. They were just quiet and unassuming.

I went through Marine boot camp and infantry training with his son in 1970. There were at least a couple of old senior NCOs who knew his father from WWII.
