Peace Activists Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet ("MUST READ")
Investor's Business Daily ^ | Sept. 26, 2005 | IBD editorial

Posted on 09/26/2005 9:14:15 PM PDT by FairOpinion

Security: The threat of another terrorist attack against the U.S. — one even more serious than 9-11 — is very real. But you'd hardly know that, watching last weekend's anti-war demonstrations.

'The whole world is watching," said anti-war mom Cindy Sheehan shortly before her photo-op arrest in front of the White House. Actually, despite claims by organizers that upward of 300,000 attended, news reports put the actual crowd in the "tens of thousands." The whole world wasn't watching — and don't just ask those in Texas and Louisiana awaiting Hurricane Rita.

Yet as we watched the protesting throngs, we couldn't help wonder: Do they understand what being "anti-war" means? Do they realize how different their definition is from the average American's?

Judging from some of the placards — "Victory to the Iraqi Resistance" and "Hands off Iran and North Korea" — it's clear many who took part in the demonstrations aren't "anti-war" at all. They are decidedly pro-war. They just back the other side — that is, the terrorists — and want the U.S. to lose.

They point out that the number of protesters were nowhere near the numbers they claimed, and call the protesters what they are: pro-terrorist.

Kudos to Investors Business Daily for calling a spade a spade, and pro-terrorist protesters, what they are.

These so-called "peace, anti-war" protesters actually want the opposite, they want the destruction of the US.

Investor's Business Daily was the only paper, which really followed where it would lead us, if we gave in to these pro-terrorist protesters.

"...It estimates the impact of a Hiroshima-sized nuclear bomb exploding in downtown Manhattan.

Needless to say, the results would be horrific. Within one mile of the ground zero, about 39,000 people would die instantly. Another 21,000 or so would die as the effects of the blast radiated outward. Our economy would be devastated."

I'm pretty sure the quoted numbers are off (understated) by at least an order of magnitude; Casualties would more likely be 20x-40x those numbers. IMO.

Dear Cindy Sheehan:

Thank you for your recent letter criticizing our treatment of the
Taliban and Al Qaeda detainees currently held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The administration takes these matters seriously. Your opinion was
heard loud and clear here in Washington .You will be pleased to learn that, thanks
to the concerns of citizens like you, we are creating the
Terrorist Retraining Program, to be called the "Liberals Accept
Responsibility for Killers" program, or LARK for short. In accordance
with the guidelines of this new program and the tragic loss of your son Casey, we have decided to place one terrorist under your personal care to fill the void the death of your son has left you.

Your detainee has been selected and scheduled for transportation to
your residence as soon as possible. Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud is to be
cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your
letter of admonishment. We will be conducting weekly inspections to ensure
that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with those you
so strongly recommended in your letter.

Although Ahmed is sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that your
sensitivity to what you described, as his "attitudinal problem" will
help him overcome this character flaw. Perhaps you are correct in
describing these problems as merely “cultural differences.”

I should warn you that your adopted terrorist / surrogate son is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or
nail clippers. He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive
devices from common household products, so you may wish to keep those
items locked up, unless you feel that this might offend him.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or any other females who might visit or live at your residence. He views females as a subhuman form of property. This is a particularly sensitive subject for him. He has shown violent
tendencies around women who fail to comply with the dress code that he considers appropriate and mandatory. I am sure that over time, you and any other of your female friends will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the bhurka. Just remember that it is
all part of respecting his culture and religious beliefs.

Thanks again for your letter. We truly appreciate it when folks like
you inform us of the proper way to do our job. Take good care of Ahmed
and good luck!

Sincerely

Donald Rumsfeld & Karl Rove

Yes, indeed. If we could only really do it -- give them a terrorist for a pet, since they love them so...

What's amazing to me is that they could get tens, or hundreds of thousands together for a weekend, and not one intelligent word was said and quotable even by a sympathetic press. That should be shocking. Of juvenile antics, there were many, but any enlightened, intelligent, notable behavior? They just repeated what their manipulators wanted them to repeat, "Four legs good, two legs better," as though they thought of it themselves.

I think you are right.

The devastation and deaths are beyond what we can imagine.

Yet, these "peace activists" would rather have that, than support our troops to fight the enemy on the enemy's turf, preventing us having to fight them over here.

I have just as much free speech as they do.
Aiding and abetting the enemy was treason once though.

Dead on assessment.

The problem is to have those that were protesting in Washington this weekend to think beyond the next 24 hours is difficult. You have the washed up hippies that live in the past, the rest are the disjointed groups of anti-everything group that cannot even organize a march properly.

Hence the have no concept of the danger this nation still faces because they are so wrapped up in their own little world.
