They should be embarrassed," Shay said.

If you have a 14 y/o that disagrees with the moral guidelines that students are being taught you have a problem. . The 1st daughter got thru without raising any red flags. What was different about the 2nd?

"My sexual orientation should have nothing to do with her getting an education"

Your sexual orientation should have nothing to do with anything at all. Yet, why is it that homosexuals use their sexual orientation to identify or validate who they are? Is life that bereft of flavor and spice for them? Are they that shallow?

Has anyone ever heard a phrase similar to this?...."You know Bob. He's that heterosexual guy in the mail room."

Of course not.

The new season of "The Apprentice" with Doanld Trump features one contestant who said, "Wait until they find out I'm gay. Watch their attitudes change toward me."
First of all, how would they find out what this person's sexual preferences are? Second, maybe the change in attitudes is not due to this person's sexual preference but because of the fact that this person just has to let everyone know what he does in the bedroom. Maybe they never cared.

Next time the urge hits one of them to spout off and declare their sexual preference, perhaps they'd be better served by sitting down and shutting the hell up. No one cares.

Its the freedom of association for the school to kick the daughter of lesbians out of Ontario Christian School.

Even though the daughter of lesbians is actually heterosexual and the couple wanted to give her a christian oriented education, it would probally be better for them to find a liberal non orthodox private school.

Well. It's a private school...

Having said that though, I'm not sure why the religion, race or sexual orientation of family members would be criteria for expelling a pupil. It seems like the pupil's conduct and achievement should be the sole basis.

Again, it's a private school- they can do what they want. But that also means they could expel a child for having a white mother and black father.

"My sexual orientation should have nothing to do with her getting an education," Tina Clark said. "I'm the one that's gay. My daughter's not. Why should her civil rights be infringed?"

Another setup. And in Canada private groups do not have more rights than lesbians.

A private school has the right to accept or expel as they see fit.

I may not agree with it but that is their prerogative.

"My sexual orientation should have nothing to do with her getting an education,"

..and it won't, at a taxpayer funded school where this EMBRACE this behavior.

Odd that the article never discusses the facts in the school's statement, which includes this:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding a student that had been enrolled at Ontario Christian School. The student is not attending Ontario Christian, as the family does not meet admissions criteria. The ministry of Ontario Christian is to promote discipleship of Jesus Christ as defined by the Bible and consistent with historical Christianity. The school forms a voluntary partnership with parents who seek the same discipleship. Therefore, the school requires that at least one parent be a confessing Christian and active in the local Christian church. In this case, the parent does not meet the criteria by participating in a homosexual relationship. We regret that this relationship was not disclosed at the time of admission, as that information would have prevented enrollment and the occasion for misunderstanding.

"My sexual orientation should have nothing to do with her getting an education,"

Dont you just love how the libs want it to be a secret then when it comes to diversity training they want everybody to know and condone their personal lifestyle. Private organizations, e.g. the Boyscouts, have the right of free association.

"A lot of (religious school officials) say they're very open and affirming, and then you see this, and it contradicts what they're saying."

And the homos say they're very open and affirming until a Christian parent asks for permission to opt his child out of a first grade class using a "Heather Has Two Mommies" kind of book.

The school, being private and all, has every right to set the rules of admission. My two girls went to a private American Indian school through the 8th grade. If that school had decided that because they were slightly less than half Indian, they could not attend, would that be their right or should I protest and sue?

As I said in the other thread on this topic: What the school did violates the tenets of Christianity, foremost of which is the need to minister to the spiritually needy. I'd call the teenaged daughter of lesbians as spiritually needy as they come.

The proper response would have been to intervene and minister to her. To get her to understand the evil and sin that her mother was committing. If they were worried about the appearance to the other children, they could have explained that the girls parents were sinners and that the girl needed their prayers and support. It could have been an excellent teaching moment, but instead turned into an un-Christian rejection of Jesus teachings.

A real Christian never turns his back on a sinner, and certainly doesn't turn his back on someone because they're forcibly associated with sinners. Our duty is to spread the light and the Word.

"I knew that I might have problems," Shay said. "But I never thought it would go that far."

"Had we known they were against homosexuality, we would never have sought this school out," Gray said.

Ontario Christian is affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church, a denomination that considers homosexuality a "condition of disordered sexuality," according to the Web site of the Christian Reformed Church of North America.

Looks pretty cut and dried to me.

Find a school more in line with your 'lifestyle'.
