Wow, you must spend a lot of time reading the tabloids to come up with that information.

If you live in the NYC media market, you only need to open your morning newspaper to read about the doings of the Sopranos cast.

There was a weekend section in the Post a couple of years back which interviewed her - part of the promotional drive for her new Broadway show - and she went into great detail about all the drugs she was on and all kinds of stuff, including her support for abortion-on-demand, her hatred of the President, etc.

It was also pretty well known that she broke up Stanley Tucci's marriage - that was on the evening news.

I actually don't read any tabloids - but I do confess to reading the newspaper and watching my local news.

I know that you yourself are above such activities.

Other Soprano cast items that have made the local evening news: Robert Iler mugging another kid in Central Park, Loraine Bracco having a nasty custody battle with her ex Harvey Keitel, James Gandolfini having an affair with his makeup artist, Jamie Lynn DiScala divorcing her husband, Vincent Pastore assaulting his fiancee, etc.

Sopranos stars are considered important local celebrities in North Jersey.

Oh yes, I know I'll be basing most of my life's decisions and choices for entertainment on Page Six.

So surely you will be able to provide some source other than a reference to a paper you say you read from a few years back.

You're going off on a number of weird tangents.

(1) I'm not talking about Page Six - I'm talking about the weekend entertainment section.

(2) I'm not asking anyone to use any article in any newspaper to make grandiose "life's decisions and choices for entertainment". You ask me where I got my information and I told you.

So surely you will be able to provide some source other than a reference to a paper you say you read from a few years back.

The source the paper cited was Miss Falco herself. It was an interview.

If you think I'm a liar, just say so.

Funny how you can get taken to task for the simplest information. My favorite is "why do you read the (fill in name of any liberal rag)? Well, duh, because if we didn't keep an eye on liberal publications there would be damn little for us to critique here on FR.

Back in 2003 she starred in the play "Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune." with Stanley Tucci. They had an affair and he left his wife and small children to live in sin with the Bush hating Ms. Falco. After about a year and a half he returned home. Maybe that set her on the anti depressants.

Do you have anything to back that up or do we just take your word for it?"

I am wondering if wideawake is thinking of Lorraine Bracco who plays the shrink? She makes PSAs about how she was depressed and whacko for a year and is now fine thinks to anti-depressants etc. She has also publicly come out and said she was "abused" etc...

As for Carmela voting for W, that is consistent with her character as she is a conservative Catholic.

That is the genius of the writing. Nobody is black or white. The contradictions, the hypocrisy that is demanded of the characters who are part of a mafia family. One simply cannot be in a mafia family without being what Carmela is. I find it so intriguing.

And I don't think an actor worth his salt minds playing a character like this.

so she didn't vote for Bush and finds it sickening for her character to say so, I don't care. She is brilliant. And if I were her and had to say, in character, that I voted for Kerry I would feel sickened too.

"So, let's get this straight: it doesn't bother Falco to play a character who is married to, and complicit in the schemes of, a mobster...but it makes her ill to play a character who voted for the same president as a majority of the American voters."

Exactly

These Hollywood freaks set new standards for hypocrisy.

I wasn't sarcastic, I didn't know what you were talking about.

Actors and Actresses do this kind of political thing. I think they are stupid to do it. But we cheer on the ones on our side. And the other side cheers the ones on their side. I guess they have the same freedom to say what they think.

It doesn't interfere with my loving the Sopranoes and appreciating the writing, the acting, the casting, the scenery. It is a brilliant show. And dark and funny and sad at the same time.

the guy who plays Paulie Walnuts is actually a "Conservative Republican". he was at an R fundraiser and was quoted as saying he was as conservative as you can get.

The guy who plays Paulie Walnuts, Tony Sirico, is also one of the few actors on the show who has actually spent time in prison. For armed robbery in the early seventies.

His character is definitely the funniest on the show. He's such a pathetic loser, I love watching him. Sirico is absolutely magnificent in the role.

Check out www.entertainersforbush.com

I was being sarcastic in calling her out for being a member of Mothers Opposing Bush(MOB) and not being a mother. She should have joined Singles Opposing Bush (SOB).

(1) I'm not talking about Page Six - I'm talking about the weekend entertainment section.

Oh, hell, that's completely different isn't it?

(2) I'm not asking anyone to use any article in any newspaper to make grandiose "life's decisions and choices for entertainment". You ask me where I got my information and I told you.

And it's coming from a source that makes its money by providing the most scandalous possible slant on anything and everything. People usually don't read entertainment sections to actually read about the news. What sells? Scandals, plain and simple. Take a look at the Michael Jackson/Scott Peterman/Missing Teenager (Fox) channel. If they just reported the news it wouldn't be as interesting to the general public would it? Of course they'd go off the air probably with nothing to talk about too.

The source the paper cited was Miss Falco herself. It was an interview. If you think I'm a liar, just say so.

No I don't think you're a liar. I just don't think it's important what her political position is as it relates to her character. Heck, I don't even watch the show, I just don't like it. Although I would like to see an actual source to where she said some of the things you stated she did

I love Silvio. He dropped a few notches when he was so mean spirited about whacking Adriana. I would have thought he would show a hint of regret about having to do it. I don't recall him ever committing a violent act in the series before.

They always had subtle hints that Silvio is the baddest of the bad (his last name is Dante - the Italian expert on hell.) He's made comments to Paulie that have stopped him in his tracks. He just shoots people looks and they cringe.

I think, in the end of the series, Silvo's going to have a big part in the wrap up. Something big, like killing Tony.
