There is a compound here in Virginia that doesn't allow police inside their facility. If the police want to speak to someone, they have to ask at the gate and wait for the person to be brought to them (if at all). So far, the police are unwilling to start another Waco over it.

If the police have no probably cause to believe that there are crimes being committed inside and have no warrant, then there's no comparison to Waco.

That's like saying that a policeman cannot walk up to your door. He has to stand at the curb and wait for permission to walk on the lawn.

Policemen walk into apartment buildings all the time.
