Hours before New Orleans Police Superintendent Eddie Compass announced his resignation, Tony relayed some hot information he had heard from his Capitol Hill sources. It regarded an FBI investigation currently under way.

You can go to the source above and listen to that segment of his radio show.

To the public, Democrats are looking more and more like the partisan hacks they are.

I wonder how Hillary will travel these waters in her bid for the White House.

Maybe not cry, but Blanco will request 24 hours to consider her replies.

Thank you Bahbah!!!

And this morning, FOX & Friends is all over it too. Kudos to Tony Snow!!!!.

Governor Blanco will testify before Congress today, I can't wait to see if Congressman Shays is as nasty to her as he was to Michael Brown yesterday.

No wonder the citizens were shooting at the NO Police.

If a cop is shot in NO, does anyone fall?

I can see even more clearly now why the people were armed and angry. Only the U.S. military was equipped to enter this place.

Could that other direction be prison? Nah! Not in Louisiana.

Don't be too sure. That's what they said about Edwin Edwards, who's rotting in prison right now.

"Isn't Nagin supposed to be testifying on the Hill today? If so, think he'll be asked about this? And I wonder if the Dems will try to provide cover for his imcompetence?"

I'm not certain if the "Mayor" is testifying today or not.

It is my understanding that the Dims are boycotting the "illegitimate" hearings. That the lone Democrat, William Jefferson (D-La) [not on the committee] was allowed to question Michael Brown and went ballistic when Mr. Brown laid and filleted the Louisiana and New Orleans governments.

I would think that one or more Republicans on the committee would have the intestinal fortitude to get Nagin to make some comment on the NO police issue, even if just for the record, before they get evidence from the FBI report. We'll see.

What is it the left likes to say? "The whole world is watching"? ;)

Can we safely assume there are "phantom employees" in every city department? Every state department?

Add this budding scandal to the tidbit about the police officers in the boat that were requesting woman to flash their chests to get rescued, the two female officers looting in the WalMart, etc.

Not exactly a "protect and serve" image evolving here.

Not good. The 911 response times of non-existent cops can be really long.

I bet they voted for Nagin.

No, you can't relax. We just came back from Vegas, after dealing with all the stress....

Yes, but do think about the undeniable logic. No cops, no civiliam brutality charges. No Rodney Kings. Lots of dead crime vics, but of course, they don't get on TV or sue.

:~(

I just had a thought. What if Nagin's claim of at least 10,000 dead had something to do with this? What if the NOPD isn't the only governmental institution with a lot of phantom employees? What if Nagin was hoping to use that 10,000 figure to explain away more than phantom cops? The Feds ought to be going over the whole darn city, not just the PD.
