I think you are right. Especially "national" things. The famous MOntgomery bus boycott worked because it was localized, and the bus owners could see their actual customers refusing to use their service.
But a movie? Unless you could convince every single movie goer to not see it, how could it work?
And this is a really bad idea, I mean, where would it lead? It's a fake, fictional story folks, and I don't think even the movie writers want anyone to think it is "accurate".
The problem with this movie isn't because of the rude flight attendants....It's premise is that the Arab men on the plane are believed to be the terrorists...but it turns out to be the air marshall and flight attendant instead.
No agenda there, right?

I agree with you. These "waitresses in the sky" as that one guy said have to put up with a lot from some rude and unruly passengers as well. That person should not LUMP everyone into the same category. He/she wouldn't like it if people did that to him/her.
I respect the flight attendants and I treat them nicely as well and they in turn do the same for me. Some people get on the plane and think the flight attendants are there to wait on them hand and foot. They are NOT. They are there to serve and try to make passengers comfortable an do what they can in times of emergencies.
There are some passengers who get on a plane and act like they've never been out in public before. Those are probably the ones the flight attendants have to put up with with their demands for this and for that.
I think the flight attendants in the attacks on the WTC, the Pentagon and the field in Pennsylvania deserve better than being called "waitresses in the sky."
I wonder if one would be looking to see if the flight attendant saving the life of a passenger is young, pretty or whatever? Think??????????????
I liked the movie. The flight attendants were all nasty fashion_model_wannabes and took turns making faces that an idiot would make. One of them had the biggest (collagen injections) lips, it was hilarious

And...as a straight male flight attendant that takes great pride in caring for my passengers and works hard at making sure that they are safe and comfortable as well as fed and watered, I take exception to the comments of those who chose to denigrate all of us by their comments. Furthermore, I can say from experience that those same people that roll their eyes when we don't have their favorite scotch on the cart and snap their fingers at me when they want a refill are the first to collapse and look at me like wet puppies when an emergency occurs. They compensate for their own weak characters by looking down on anyone that is below what they consider their station.
As to this movie...not even worth talking about, even from the previews it looks more than preposterous.
Al Hollywood is doing is trying to not blame Young Muslim Men.
People should go to jail for this.
I have no plans to see this, but it sounds like flight attendants were portrayed pretty accurately.

I have had the opportunity to fly to Asia on a few different airlines, Vietnam Air, China Air, Eva, and a few others.
Anycase, let me tell you, there wasn’t a single flight attendant on all those flights that wasn't drop-dead gorgeous.
I hear it’s the same on European airlines but I’ve never been…

That's a pretty far out reading of it. That movie was just an excuse to milk the situation for suspense. Not remotely political.
