Excerpt from transcript of tonight's Paula Zahn yack show on CNN......
GRIFFIN (voice-over): It could be the single worst moment in the history of the New Orleans Police Department. And it centers on what happened at this Canal Street hotel. The night New Orleans flooded, Osman Khan says 70 officers moved into his Amerihost Inn and Suites; 62 of them then went out to fight the looters and thugs. But eight officers, he says, began a four-day-long looting spree of their own.
OSMAN KHAN, HOTEL MANAGER: Oh, yes. They would probably leave around 9:00, 10:00 at night and come back around 4:30 in the morning.
GRIFFIN (on camera): And what did you see them come back with?
KHAN: Oh, everything from Adidas shoes to Rolex watches.
GRIFFIN: Just lots of it?
KHAN: Oh, lots of it.
GRIFFIN (voice-over): Camped out on the 10th floor of the hotel, the hotel engineer, Perry Emery, says the eight officers were drinking almost all of the time. He says, when he came up to the 10th floor to bring towels and to check on water pressure, he saw firsthand what they had looted.
PERRY EMERY, HOTEL ENGINEER: I guess jewelry or generators, fans. And, one time, they went out and they came back with a bunch of weapons.
GRIFFIN: The generator, says Khan, was this one, stolen, he says, as he watched, from a hospital next door.
(on camera): And they stole this from a hospital?
KHAN: They stole it from Tulane Hospital, correct.

I'll do you one better - if the alleged Dr. Richard L. Johnston is authorized by the DEA to write RXs for controlled meds, then he's in my database at work. I'll use this post as a bump to remind me to check when I go in.
LoL! thieves are always terrible liars.
Sure, I believe him.
Not if you are a Dumocrat.
They can get the same drunken atmosphere at Colorado University with less danger from the police.
That email does not ring true to me. I don't think volunteers can just drift from job to job on a whim. He claims he decided to hand out water and after a while decided to serve hot meals and then decided to help move air beds. I'm sure the operation is set up in a more oraganized manner than having the volunteers aimlessly wander around dabbling in this and that.
bet he is pissed...just google that phone number
it's on a lot of sites
one could make that case
Good question. Let's ask Ray.
I know he will tell the truth.( heavy sarcasm )
I received this email, too.
Only, the name of the doc was redacted because he was, supposedly, in my home church in Meridian. ;o)
That being said, I believe it's not far off the mark.
One of the churches that opened a shelter in Meridian closed earlier than expected.
All of the bathrooms have to be redone.
The people who stayed there totally trashed them.
Most of them were from NOLA.
BTW, I was kidding about calling the number.
Is the Tulane Hospital the one that reported armed thugs took hostages and raped a nurse? Armed hostages with uniforms and guns, and Badges of NOPD?
Cops stealing generators from hospitals. Oh this is rich.
Gee, I wonder if that is the same generator that Andrea Gardland delivered to Mother Sheehan's hero, Malik Rahim?
This letter has already be debunked as a fabrication.
This story is an object lesson in how PC madness could affect ANYBODY. This guy forwarded along one email and now he'll be considered a racist for the rest of his life by people all over the world.
I'm SOOO confused
I don't what to believe any more
At least the NO officers who didn't exist couldn't be accused of looting. That's something at least.
