Is that a tear in the President's eye?
How far are you from the wildfires?
First picture in #12 makes it look longer on the sides..
This photo is sooooooooooo cute. The little girl is looking at her brother with the look that says loud and clear: "Don't start." What a riot!!!!
POLLING UPDATE . . .
While I believe ALL current polls are BOGUS (given that they ALL oversample Democrats/Democrat-leaning Independents), the following polling results serve as a pleasant 'IN YOUR FACE' to the Mediacrats and rightwing whiners who use polls to bash the President:
GALLUP/USATODAY/CNN
'adults only'
9/26-28/05 45% approve 50% disapprove
9/16-18/05 40% approve 58% disapprove
[. . . an improvement of +13]
These results forced CNN/USATODAY to write the following:
BUSH'S JOB APPROVAL BOUNCES BACK A BIT
By Richard Benedetto, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON President Bush's job-approval rating, which fell back to the lowest level of his presidency after Hurricane Katrina, has rebounded slightly after the public gave him higher marks for handling Hurricane Rita, a USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll shows.
Bush's overall job approval rose from 40% a week and a half ago a low point he also hit shortly before Katrina, when bad news from Iraq intensified as he vacationed at his Texas ranch to 45% now. At the same time, his disapproval dropped from 58%, the worst of his presidency, to 50%. (Related item: Poll results)
That puts his approve-disapprove rating about where it was in early August, before Katrina and Rita. Bush, faced with public discontent over the war in Iraq and high gasoline prices, has been below 50% approval for about five months.
Bush was boosted in the latest poll by a public feeling that he did a better job responding to Hurricane Rita, which struck Texas and Louisiana Sept. 24, than he did with Katrina, which hit Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi Aug. 29.
Overall, 71% SAID THEY APPROVE OF BUSH'S HANDLING OF RITA, which was marked by presidential trips to the region before, during and after the storm. Just 40% said they approve of his handling of Katrina, which was marred by a slow federal response after the storm.

NEW YORK Voters are fed up. Majorities say they are tired of partisan fighting, high gas prices and the war in Iraq. A plurality thinks it would be better for the country if Democrats win next years congressional elections, though President George W. Bush (search) has the edge over Democrats for having a better plan for handling Iraq. In addition, the presidents job approval rating is back up to its pre-Katrina level this week. These are just some of the finding of a new FOX News nation-wide poll of registered voters.

I saw this after the ceremony. It was beautiful, loving and NOT surprising. Here is another couple that love each other and respect each other and their marriage. What a contrast to other couples.
My impression was that he was happy for John Roberts family, that he shares their pride of him.
Remember when Condi was sworn in as Secretary of State and the President got misty eyed saying, "Laura and I love her?"
I wonder if the VP was laughing at one of the Jack jokes
"Bounces back a little---"...liberal-speak for "darn he's movin' back up--we gotta stop that!"
Even with the bombardment of lies from the leftists and media blaming him for a hurricane (of all things.....), it's hard to believe that more than half the people in this country are that stupid.....
Parents must be proud as punch not to mention her sister, husband and children. A beautiful young woman with a brain to match.
how can they be? She had red on.
yes, and she looks very youthful.
I don't believe it either ohio...never have.
All in all it was a great day for President Bush. Today's swearing in of John Roberts as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court will help preserve the Constitution for many, many years to come. Thanks for posting the Dose snugs. :o)
How far are you from the wildfires?
Well over 140 miles south.
Two years ago in San Diego we had 1 week of major fires.
Over 2,400 homes destroyed Many in the 1 million dollar
and up price range. 15 people died.
The Prez came out also.
I love the way that 5 points down is "plunging" and 5 points up is "a bit."
But, its amusing anyway. Thanks for the ping.
I think they are a little weary of this young buck coming in there and rattling their cages a bit.
Yeah I also don't believe the plurality of people think Democrats should win the next Congressional election bit. That's BS.
